[Today’s Prayer] 'Should I immigrate?'… 1 in 4 Israelis worried about the ongoing war

Daniel 12:3

A public opinion poll found that one in four Israelis have considered leaving Israel due to the ongoing war.

According to the Israeli daily Times of Israel on the 6th (local time), this was the result of a survey conducted last week on Israeli adults by public broadcaster Kantar and data analysis company Kantar Insights.

The survey found that 23 percent of respondents said they had considered leaving Israel temporarily or permanently over the past year, including during the Gaza war . But those who responded in this way did not actually leave. 67% of respondents said they had never considered leaving, while 9% did not answer or did not know. 1% of respondents said they had already left Israel and then returned or were planning to return.

The Times of Israel reported that voters who voted for the opposition party (36%) were more likely to consider leaving Israel than those who supported the coalition government (14%).

Among the respondents who considered leaving, approximately 65% said they had also done some practical research into moving abroad.

24% of people looked for a place to live abroad, 21% looked into employment opportunities, and 15% tried to obtain a foreign passport or visa or looked into options for their children's education (5%).

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him (Psalm 91:14-15)

Praise the name of the Lord, who is a refuge for the people of Israel. As the war between Israel and Hamas continues, we hear that a quarter of the people in Israel are anxious and seriously considering emigration.

As they are forced to flee their longtime homes, we pray that You will have compassion on them and remember each of them by name. May God be the refuge of their lives.

We look to You, Lord, for salvation in the days of tribulation, and for You to use this war to further glorify the people of Israel. May many more Israeli souls run to Yeshua the Messiah, and may the way be prepared for His return, and may You hasten the fulfillment of Your covenant promises to Israel and the nations.
