[Today’s Prayer] Israel Defense "Additional troops to the ground war in Rafah"

Israel announced on the 16th (local time) that it would deploy additional troops in a large-scale attack on Rafah, the southernmost part of the Palestinian Gaza Strip.

"Our military has destroyed many tunnels in the region and will destroy many more soon. Hamas will not be able to revive itself,” Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said, according to foreign media including Anadolu Agency. Gallant stressed that, “Additional troops will enter the region," and that the operation will continue."

Despite the international community's opposition, Israel, on the 6th, launched a ground attack on Rafah, where about 1.5 million Palestinian refugees are concentrated. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) estimates that about 600,000 people have been evacuated from Rafah since the attack began.

Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas, the Palestinian militant group that rules Gaza, warned on the 15th that the Israeli airstrikes on Rafah hinder the Gaza ceasefire and hostage exchange negotiations.

Israel continues its attacks on Gaza despite the U.N. Security Council resolutions calling for an immediate cease-fire in the region.

Since the war began in October last year, more than 35,200 Palestinians have been killed, the majority of whom were women and children. Israel has been sued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for genocide. The ICJ has ordered Israel to take measures to stop the genocide and provide humanitarian aid.

But I am afflicted and in pain; let your salvation, O God, set me on high! I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:29-30

Amen! God! Despite all the efforts to end the war between Israel and Palestine, the war is still going on.

We proclaim that the only One that can save the people in Rafah, who are in a situation of death, is Jesus Christ! Lord, would You come upon the people who are poor in spirit as their salvation! In the moment of death, would the works of salvation come upon the souls even stronger!

May those who are hopeless and in pain gain eternal life through the Gospel, and may the day of them praising and thanking the name of God come quickly!
