[Today's Prayer] The need for a 'red line' in AI technology development... Self-replication and WMD design must be prohibited
Leading experts in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) from the West and China have identified the 'red line' (limit) in AI technology development. They emphasize the necessity of imposing restrictions to prevent AI from engaging in activities such as self-replication without human approval, designing weapons of mass destruction (WMD), or executing devastating cyber attacks. To achieve this, he also called for a level of global cooperation similar to the efforts made during the Cold War to prevent nuclear war.
Britain's Financial Times (FT) reported on the 18th (local time) that "Major AI scientists from the West and China met in Beijing, China last week to discuss the risks of AI development, such as bio-weapons and cyber attacks."
(Omitted)
The actual statement included the phrase, “No AI system should attempt to replicate or improve itself, or take steps to unduly increase its power and influence, without explicit human approval and assistance.” “No system may design WMD or substantially enhance its capabilities to violate the Biological Weapons Convention.” It also states that “no person should be able to autonomously carry out a cyber attack that would result in serious financial loss or equivalent damage.”
This meeting was held amid growing voices from academia that ‘the world’s two largest technological powers, the United States and China, should cooperate on AI safety.’ Last November, U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed this issue at the San Francisco summit and agreed to continue related talks. Officials from major AI companies are also said to have met with Chinese AI experts privately in recent months.

“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.” (John 10:14)
We praise our God who is our Lord, shepherd, and king.
God, as the development of AI technology is accelerating, there are concerns that artificial intelligence may pose a threat to the world through self-replication, design of weapons of mass destruction, and deadly cyber attacks.
Lord, in an age where humanity and ethics are being violated due to the acceleration of technological development, may you protect us from the danger of being ruled by things that humans created.
The world deceives people by saying that they can live a good and comfortable life with dazzling technology, but only Jesus is the good shepherd, and everything other than Jesus is just a hired hand.
Rather than the technology created by humans, may the reign of God, the ruler of all history and the creator of this world, come upon all nations!
As we approach the end, the world is increasingly losing its humanity and falling into corruption, but may Your Great Commission be fulfilled more quickly!
