[Today’s Prayer] Israel strengthens offensive in southern Gaza... Hezbollah also raises warning level
As the Israeli military, who are at war with the Palestinian armed faction Hamas, tightened their grip on the southern Gaza Strip, the humanitarian crisis for Gaza residents has been gradually worsen.
Israel has also raisied its warning level against the Lebanese armed faction Hezbollah. As United States seeks retaliation for the death of its soldier in Jordan, the situation in the Middle East is becoming more and more critical.
According to Reuters, Associated Press, and the British Guardian on the 3rd (local time), the Israeli army bombed the southernmost city of Rafah, which was just a day ago, blocked by the border, and was saturated with refugees who has nowhere else to go.
At least 17 people, including women and children, were killed in the bombing, AP reported, citing the hospital where the dead were taken.
Refugees from the northern part of the Gaza Strip, were pushed south and a large number of refugee tent villages were established in Rafah, on the border with Egypt.
Human rights groups estimate that 1.9 million refugees have flocked to Rafah, which had a population of 250,000.
According to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip's Health Ministry, currently more than 27,000 Palestinians have died in the Gaza Strip.
OCHA estimates that among the Gaza Strip's population of 2.3 million, there are 1.7 million refugees who have lost their homes and are staying in shelters.
The entire Gaza Strip is already in a food crisis. The United Nations has diagnosed that all Gaza residents have entered an acute food crisis since December last year.
For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. (Romans 8:19-21)
God, you who governs the whole world and the nation, and mercifully provides, we lift up the news from Palestine, including Arab countries’ situations to you.
The unstoppable conflict between the two peoples, soon spreads to the Arab world, and we hear that there have been many refugees and deaths.
Lord, give your attention to those suffering in this war, where we cannot see the end in sight but only spreads more.
They are looking forward to the appearance of the sons of God, so now declare a time of grace, a day of salvation.
Please let them know that what the two nations have holding so far is rotting, and that it will pass by, so that they can be freed from the slavery.
As the global church prays together, let the day come when the glorious freedom is upon the two nation and the Arab, let the day come when all the praise is given to the Lord of the redemption.
