[Today’s Prayer] IS claims responsibility for Iran bombing... “Do not cooperate with Shia” targeting Hamas
The Islamic State (IS), which is hostile to Iran, claimed responsibility for the bombing that occurred at a memorial service honoring General Qasem Soleimani, a powerful Iranian military figure assassinated by the U.S. military four years ago. Since the theory that the United States and Israel were behind it was dismissed, the international community, which was very nervous due to concerns about an escalation of war, was also put at ease.
According to foreign media reports on the 4th (local time), two explosions occurred near the Saheb al-Zaman Mosque in Kerman, southeastern Iran, killing at least 84 people and injuring 280. A memorial event was being held here for Commander Soleimani, who was killed in a U.S. military drone attack on January 3, 2020.

In a statement released through Telegram, IS claimed responsibility for the bomb attack, saying, "Omar al-Mowahid and Sayefullah al-Mujahid carried out the attack."
Sunni extremist groups, such as IS, regard Shiites like Iran as apostates and have often bombed civilians. Most recently, in 2022, 13 people were killed in a shooting at a Shiite mosque in Shiraz, southern Iran.
In this way, IS is at odds with Iran, but maintains friendly relations with Hamas, a Sunni Palestinian armed political faction. It is interpreted that the commonality of anti-Israel played a greater role in helping Hamas receive support from Iran than the religious differences between Shia and Sunni. Seemingly aware of this complex relationship, IS warned in a statement, "Do not cooperate with Shiite groups."

Initially, until the mastermind was revealed, there were claims that the attack could have been Israel's work, raising concerns about an escalation of the war. “We believe it was carried out by operatives supported by the United States and Israel,” said Esmail Kossari, an Iranian lawmaker and former IRGC commander.
However, the United States dismissed the theory, saying that they were not involved and that Israel had no reason to be involved.

Pray then like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
(Matthew 6:9-10).
God, we hear that IS claimed to be behind the memorial service attack that occurred in Iran yesterday and warned Hamas, which is at war with Israel, not to receive any more support from Iran.
We earnestly desire that the Lord will have mercy on this land full of sin, where peoples and countries rise up against each other, claiming their own thoughts and ideologies, and do not hesitate to engage in wars and terrorism that take the lives of countless people.
Among Iran, Israel, Palestine, and all nations where death continues, please allow only the name of our Father in heaven to be hallowed.
May the Lord God, the King of kings, sit enthroned among the nations and rule with Your holy word, so that all souls who are thirsty for the truth can come to You, receive the salvation You provide, and praise Your works.
May the nations fall down before Your throne, and the everlasting kingdom of God come among the nations, and may all nations see Your glory!
