[Today’s Prayer] Iran's Supreme Leader "The attack on the consulate is an attack on our homeland... We must punish"

As concerns grow about the escalation of war in the Middle East following Israel's bombing of the Iranian consulate in Syria, Iran's supreme leader has once again strengthened his will to retaliate.

According to CNN, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a speech on national TV on the 10th (local time), "Their (Israel) attack on our consulate is the same as an attack on our homeland. This is an international norm."

Khamenei went on to say, “That evil regime made a mistake and must be punished,” and declared, “It will be so.”

Previously, in Damascus, Syria, Israel carried out an airstrike on the local Iranian consulate on the 1st, killing a military general. Since then, Iran has declared retaliation, and the possibility of an attack has been suggested around the 10th, the so-called 'Ramadan Night of Power'.

However, some believe that Iran will not directly attack the United States and its allies for fear of an all-out conflict. Instead, there is speculation that Iran will retaliate through proxy militias and other local armed groups.

Israeli Foreign Minister Katz warned on the same day, “If Iran attacks Israel, it will be a turning point (in the Middle East situation).” He continued, "If Iran strikes, we will also strike. We will respond."

Secretary Katz said again, “We did not start a war against Iran,” but “if they strike, we will strike.”

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies. (Psalm 18:2-3)

Lord, we hear that the relationship between Israel and Iran has not been restored and the conflict is intensifying as they talk of revenging against each other.

It seems like the conflict between these two peoples, who have been killing and hating each other for a long time, will never be resolved.

But our God is the rock of refuge and the horn of salvation.

Lord, please be the refuge and salvation of Israel and Iran and lead these two peoples, who have been suffering during a long period of conflict, to come to You.

May our Lord, who is worthy to receive praises from Israel and Iran, restore the long lost worship within these two peoples and lead them to eternal salvation!
