[Today’s Prayer] Iran attacks again just hours after President Trump's apology; Gulf nations warn of retaliation

Just hours after Iranian President Masoud Pezekian apologized to Gulf countries and announced that he would stop attacks, Gulf countries including Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Qatar were attacked by Iran one after another.

Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, have warned Iran that they may retaliate if its attacks continue.

According to foreign news agencies such as AP, AFP, and Reuters, Bahrain's Ministry of Interior announced that Iranian airstrikes on the afternoon of the 7th (local time) in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, caused fires in buildings including houses and material damage.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had attacked the Juffair US military base in Bahrain.

The IRGC claimed that it fired the missiles in response to an attack on a desalination plant in Iran from its Juffair base that day.

The UAE's Ministry of Defense said its air defenses intercepted Iranian missiles and drones in Dubai this evening.

An Asian driver was killed in Dubai's Al Barsha district when debris from an intercepted object fell on his car, Reuters reported, citing Dubai authorities.

Earlier, Iranian President Pezeshkian said in a speech on state television that day, "The Interim Leadership Council has approved a plan to stop attacks on neighboring countries as long as they do not attack Iran," and "I personally apologize to the neighboring countries that were attacked by Iran."

President Pezeshkian's apology is interpreted as an attempt to appease Gulf states' anger and prevent possible retaliatory attacks. According to Reuters, before President Pezeshkian offered his apology, Saudi Arabia warned of possible retaliation and urged restraint.

Multiple sources told Reuters that Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud spoke by phone with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi two days ago. Minister Al Saud reportedly warned in the call that if attacks on Saudi territory or energy infrastructure continue, Saudi Arabia will have no choice but to retaliate and allow US military bases in the country to be used to attack Iran.

Iran is known to be maintaining its position that the attack was not aimed directly at Gulf countries, but rather at US military bases. Iran also reportedly demanded that Saudi Arabia close US military bases in the region and stop sharing intelligence that could be used in a US attack.

Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.” (Exodus 20:20)

God, we hear that just one day after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized to Gulf nations and declared an end to attacks, Iran has continued its assaults targeting Gulf states, prompting surrounding nations to warn of retaliation against Iran.

May the ongoing division between Iran and the Middle East cease swiftly. May God's presence come upon this land, so that all its peoples may revere the Lord and follow the holy Word of God.

May God's comfort come upon the people of the Middle East who lost their lives in these unannounced attacks. May we witness the powerful work of the gospel of Jesus Christ's cross, which overcame all death, coming upon them.

Especially as they appoint the next leader following Khamenei's death, may a leadership be established that serves with reverence for God and works for peace in Iran. May a leader who is pleasing to God's heart be raised up to lead Iran, like Moses who led the people according to God's command.

In this final age filled with darkness and chaos, we desire the global church to pray even more fervently for the suffering souls of Iran and the Middle East. May the global church pray for those whose hearts are parched by war and become a church that proclaims the gospel of life. Through this, may a work of life, faster than death itself, now begin.

Thus, may all nations in Iran and the Middle East rise as a holy army, proclaiming the cross of Jesus Christ who conquered death to all the nations, and preparing the way for the Lord's return!
