[Today’s Prayer] House prices soar 11 times in 5 years...Turkiye common people say, “Life is hard.”

Turkiye with house prices going through the roof.

Over the past five years, the average housing sale price in Turkiye has increased nearly 11 times, and monthly rent has increased more than 13 times.

In Turkiye, where a large portion of the population are minimum wage workers, it is easier to understand the burden on ordinary people by comparing the minimum wage and the increase in housing prices.

As a result of calculating the monthly minimum wage and house prices in January 2018 as 100 each and examining the trend over the past 6 years, the minimum wage rose by a larger amount than house prices until mid-2021, but house prices in October last year were 5%. It reached 1,149, an 11-fold increase from a year ago, and the minimum wage only increased 7-fold to 711.

The minimum wage increase has fallen far short of housing prices.

Such a dramatic increase in housing prices is due to the overall dramatic increase in prices since the pandemic.

As the price of building materials and labor costs rose significantly, housing prices also skyrocketed.

In addition, the demand for housing soared as millions of victims affected by the southeastern earthquake that occurred early last year, moved to major urban centers such as Ankara.

In particular, the rate of increase in housing prices in the capital Ankara is the highest in the country.

In order to control housing prices, the Turkic government announced that it would significantly increase the amount of public housing, but public housing construction is also being delayed due to the aftermath of the earthquake reconstruction project, leading to deadly prices. There is growing support for the prospect that it will be difficult to control inflation in the short term.

Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved. (Psalm 80:3)

House prices in Turkiye are going through the roof. This is due to the price impact that has risen significantly since the pandemic and the huge southeastern earthquake early last year, which has caused millions of people to move their residences to key cities such as Ankara, which led to a surge in demand for housing.

God, turn Turkiye back and shine on your face so that Turkiye may be saved. For a long time, they didn't know Jesus and lived with idolatry.

May the people who have lost their families in the earthquake and are still living in pain, be comforted and saved by Yeshua.

Let the souls of this land, who are enduring a hard life day by day, now hold onto Yeshua’s stretched hand and move forwards to the kingdom of God.

Let the God's people, Turkiye, prepare the way for the Lord to come, and let Turkiye preach the gospel to the end of the earth!
