[Today's Prayer] Hezbollah attacks Israel for second day... tension is at its peak

Lebanese Hezbollah has been attacking Israel on a large scale for the second day. Tensions between the two sides are reaching their peak as Israel launches a response attack.

According to the New York Times (NYT) and others on the 13th (local time), Al-Manar TV, a propaganda outlet run by Hezbollah, reported that about 100 rockets were simultaneously launched targeting several Israeli military facilities that day.

It is reported that at least 30 drones were launched targeting the military headquarters in northern Israel. It is the largest drone attack against the country.

The Israeli military announced that approximately 40 rockets and 7 drones launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon crossed the border the same afternoon. This caused fires to break out in parts of northern Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that this attack was the most serious since the conflict with Hezbollah began in early October last year following the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip.

According to the IDF and Israeli rescue authorities, at least four people in Israel were injured in the attack that day.

Israel also launched a response attack.

Lebanon's state news agency reported that a village near the coastal city of Tire was hit by an Israeli airstrike, destroying a house. Lebanese sources said one woman was killed and 14 civilians were seriously injured.

This attack took place on the 11th when Taleb Abdullah, one of Hezbollah's senior commanders, was killed in an attack on an Israeli military target.

Hezbollah pledged to strengthen retaliatory attacks against Israel, and fired 215 rockets into Israel on the 12th.

The United States is concerned about escalating tensions and has called for restraint in the escalation of war.
