[Today’s Prayer] At least 10 killed in car bomb in northern Syria
A truck loaded with bombs exploded at a checkpoint in northern Syria, killing at least 10 people, AFP reported on the 7th (local time).
According to reports, a booby-trapped truck exploded in Azaz.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the blast killed 10 people, including at least four fighters backed by Turkiye.
The exact reason behind the attack has not yet been revealed.
Azaz is currently controlled by pro-Turkiye forces. Since 2016, Turkiye has been conducting a series of ground operations to expel Kurds from the northern Syrian border area.
Additionally, last month, hundreds of people protested against Türkiye in northern Syria after a Syrian man was indicted on child molestation charges. Some even clashed with the Turkiye border guards and attempted to raid the border area.
AFP pointed out that the protest occurred at a time when there was a mood of reconciliation between Turkiye and Syria.

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. (Psalm 9:9-11)
Heavenly Father, who does not forsake but meets all who seek you, we praise you today, Lord of all the earth.
We hear that a bombing in northern Syria has killed at least 10 people. Turkiye continues to conduct ground operations to expel Kurds from the northern Syrian border.
Have mercy on those who do not know You, and are surrounded by the power of death, who deports and kill one another.
Heavenly Father, the fortress to the oppressed and fortress in times of anger, allow the Kurdish people to seek you in this time of pursuit and when they cannot trust in no-one, so that those who know your name may rely on you alone.
May they meet the God of the salvation when they rely on You alone, and may all the peoples of Turkiye and Kurdistan become those who praise You, who dwells in Zion and proclaim the event of praise among all the peoples!
