[Field Story] To witness Jesus and shout the victory of the Lord, Afghanistan

Hello! My name is Ishmael and I am Afghanistan refugee living in Pakistan.

I grew up in Afghanistan with not lacking anything, having a home and a car in my lifestyle.

One day in Afghanistan, my sister converted first, and I came to believe in Jesus after hearing the gospel from my sister.

Then, after the Afghanistan crisis, I heard the news that the Taliban found out that my family believed in Jesus and came to catch him at home. And we packed our bags right away and came over to Pakistan as refugees.

After living the life of refugees, the hardships in life began. In Afghanistan, I lived a life without any lacking, but when I came over as a refugee, I lived with six people in a single room. I'm a refugee, so there weren’t jobs I can do, so I worked in a coal mine for 11 days, and then come home and rest for only for two days. And yet I had no regrets in believing in Jesus. And little by little, I began to share about the gospel to the people around me.

Recently, I shared the gospel to my hometown friend, and it was grace as he decided to believe in Jesus!

I really like Jesus a lot! I want to go to the middle of the city and shout that Jesus is our savior! Since my friend believe in Jesus through me, he confesses that he am a disciple of Jesus!

I now want to give all my life to the Lord, and rise as disciple who testifies to the gospel of Jesus till the end! No matter what hardships and difficulties may arise, please pray for me and my family, to become a family that will not be afraid and continue to hold on to the grace that saved us.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. (Revelations 12:10-11)

Praise the LORD! As Ishmael heard the gospel through the messenger of the LORD.

Thank you Lord, as the brothers does not regret becoming Christians, even if they became refuges in the name of Jesus and are sufferings in life, but rather, they are being witnesses of the gospel.

Would you appoint brother Ishmael, who confess that he will give all his life to the Lord and want to stand until the end as disciples who testify to the gospel.

Let the salvation and power of our God, and the power of Christ, be over Ishmael, to cast away all the misery of the division that frightened our brother.

Let many Pakistani and Afghan refugee souls believe in the Lord when Ishmael, through the blood of Jesus’ lambs, received courage to not consider his life as precious and testify Jesus Christ in the midst of the land of Pakistan.

Let them, like the brother Ishmael, let the whole nation rise up as disciples, who cast out the satan’s division and spread the name of the LORD!

So in the end times, let the blood of Jesus Christ and the victory of the Lord through the words of witness, cover all nations beyond Pakistan and Afghanistan!
