[Field Story] Tartarstan, Rise as the Light of Gentiles

Hi, I am Ural from Tartarstan.

I have grown up without financial difficulties until now, but a year ago, my father had an accident, and with his business going downhill, our family was suddenly in debts.

It was then I came to know a Christian through a friend of mine, and heard from him the love of Jesus Christ.

It was a very new story that became a turning point in my life. My life that was in hopelessness was restored by the love of Jesus, who suffered and died on the cross for me.

Before, I was exposed to black magic, astrology, and alchemy through the internet, and I used to believe that the aliens created humans and that god exists in everyone.

However, as I came to know about Jesus and read the Bible, I realized that we only receive eternal life through Jesus.

I don’t comprehend much about the one and only God and other Christian values, but Jesus’ love gave me the hope to turn from my pride and to overcome the deep despair.

Please pray for me, that as I continue reading the Word and learn about Jesus who is the truth, that all the lies and standards of the world that I held unto may be replaced by the new values set by the providence of God and His love.

For this is what the Lord has commanded us:

“‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed. (Acts 13:47-48)

We praise you Lord for revealing the true value to Brother Ural, who was chasing after the meaningless things, totally lost in depair after the accident of his father and the financial problem of his family.

All you have appointed for eternal life will surely come before the name of Jesus. And we believe that Brother Ural is the one that you have chosen to receive the eternal life.

Although he may not understand why all the things took place and led him to deep despair, but may the love of Jesus, that endured the suffering for all, become a true comfort to his heart.

May he truly embrace your comfort deep into his heart, and rise as the light to the gentiles, giving hope to those who struggle in their despair without knowing this eternal love and comfort.

Even though his beginning was marked with incomprehensible wounds, may he finish his race as a servant of God, bringing the good news of eternal life and salvation to the ends of the earth.
