It has been revealed that attacks on school members such as teachers and students in conflict countries around the world have nearly tripled in the past four years.

According to an analysis by the international child rights NGO Save the Children on the 26th based on UN statistics, attacks targeting schools in conflict areas worldwide, including Sudan and Yemen, increased from 790 cases in 2020 to 2,445 cases in 2024, about three times more.

Recently, Save the Children expressed concern that these attacks have taken on cruel and widespread forms, including killings and abductions of school members such as teachers and students, airstrikes on schools, occupation, and sexual violence within educational facilities.

Previously, in a school in central Nigeria, more than 300 children and staff were abducted, and in a boarding school in Kebbi State, Nigeria, about 20 female students were kidnapped.

In particular, in Sudan, where the conflict has prolonged, most schools have closed since the outbreak of conflict in April 2023, causing more than 75% of the 17 million school-age children to lose educational opportunities. In Yemen, where the conflict has lasted 11 years, 3.2 million children have not been able to attend school, and at least 2,400 schools have been damaged or used as shelters for displaced people.

We pray that You, the God of eternal comfort, will be with the affected students, teachers, and bereaved families who have suffered trauma from abduction, murder, and sexual violence as schools have closed due to prolonged conflicts and have even been used as airstrike bases, preventing them from fleeing.

Among conflict countries worldwide, we ask that You weaken the evil forces that recklessly attack for political and religious interests, and that many people who lose their homes and lives without reason may meet the true ruler and refuge, the Lord.

Due to conflicts such as religious and territorial disputes, the next generations who should be protected are not guaranteed safety or education, becoming a generation living without dreams or hope, unable to die.

Pour the dream and hope of God's kingdom into the next generations of conflict countries such as Sudan, Yemen, and Nigeria, so that they may become an army of light like Daniel, turning all nations to righteousness.

We pray that the global church will lead in proclaiming that heaven belongs to the refugees from Sudan, Yemen, and Nigeria who fled their homes due to conflict, and that all spiritual strongholds binding these conflict areas for a long time will collapse, saving dying nations.

Thus, raise up workers of God's kingdom to proclaim the peace of Jesus, becoming the holy army of the Lord that breaks the spirits of conflict worldwide, and the nations of Sudan, Yemen, and Nigeria!
