[Mission Field News] Nuuris, a Servant of God Who Proclaims the Gospel of Christ in Kyrgyzstan

(The photo above is unrelated to the content.)
Hello, my name is Nuuris, and I live in Kyrgyzstan.
I was born as a result of a kidnapping marriage when my mother was eighteen years old.
When I was three, I met Korean teachers for the first time together with my mother. At that time, my mother accepted Jesus as her Savior and was baptized.
However, life became extremely difficult for my mother because of my father’s repeated infidelity and domestic violence. She eventually lost contact with the teachers and sent me to the city where my maternal grandmother lived.
Twelve years later, when I entered the ninth grade, my mother contacted me and told me that the teachers I had met long ago wanted to see me again.
When the teachers met me, they offered prayers of thanksgiving to God. They shared the gospel with me, telling me that God loved me so much, had created me in the most beautiful way, and that I was someone who brought joy to Him.
They asked me whether I, too, would believe in Jesus as my Savior and live as a child of God. I confessed that I wanted to believe in Jesus, and we prayed together as I accepted Him as my Savior.
Now, I receive discipleship training twice a week, scheduled around the time I finish school.
We talk about how I have been doing, how things are going at school, and other things happening in my life, and I get to hear the most beautiful gospel in the world.
One day, I was playing with my friends and lost track of time, so I arrived late for my discipleship session.
Even so, my desire to read the Word became a higher priority than my desire to play with my friends.
I am scheduled to attend Vision School next week. Through the time we spend worshiping together, I want to discover God’s vision and become a child of God who dedicates my life to His kingdom.
Now, my maternal grandmother also joins me for Sunday worship. Please pray with us that our family will rise up as a church that believes in and serves Jesus and obeys Him alone!
“And we sent Timothy, our brother and God’s coworker in the gospel of Christ, to establish and exhort you in your faith, that no one be moved by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are destined for this.” (1 Thessalonians 3:2–3)
Lord, thank You for loving Nuuris and allowing him to meet again the people who had shared the gospel with his mother when he was young, so that he could accept Jesus as his Savior.
Even though he was separated from his mother for twelve years, we believe that Nuuris has grown beautifully through the love of his maternal grandmother and the help of God.
Please continue to shape Nuuris’s life beautifully, and through discipleship training and Vision School, help him embrace and serve the nations that You love.
Just as Timothy grew up in the faith of his mother and grandmother from a young age and went on to serve as Paul’s fellow worker, may Nuuris be raised up to encourage the churches of Kyrgyzstan and help them stand firm without being shaken by trials.
Through Nuuris, may the younger generation of Kyrgyzstan discover the gospel and vision of Jesus, and may the grace of families becoming churches fill the nation of Kyrgyzstan.
For this purpose, may the churches of Kyrgyzstan strive even more to send out God’s servants who proclaim the gospel of Christ, and may they disciple their brothers and sisters in the faith so that they may be firmly established in the Word.
In this way, may Kyrgyzstan become a nation that serves as God’s coworker, establishing churches throughout Central Asia and among all the nations of the world!
