[Field Story]“Pro-Iranian militia airstrikes on US base in Syria… 7 Kurds killed”

Pro-Iranian militias in Iraq carried out an airstrike on a US military base in Syria, killing Kurdish rebels there, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a group that monitors the Syrian civil war, announced on the 5th (local time).

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Islamic Resistance Army in Iraq (IRI) carried out an airstrike using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) on the al-Omar oil base in eastern Syria from the night before to early this morning.

It was reported that seven members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a Kurdish militia stationed with U.S. troops, were killed in this attack. The United States is supporting Kurdish rebels against the Iranian-friendly Syrian government.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights analyzed that "pro-Iranian militias attacked by the U.S. military targeted the U.S. military base as an initial response."

The U.S. military has been attacking pro-Iranian militants for three days in a row, including striking a cruise missile belonging to the Houthi rebels in Yemen this morning.

The previous day, the US military, along with the UK, carried out airstrikes on the Houthi rebels' weapons storage facilities, missile systems and launchers, and air defense systems in Yemen.

2 There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3 The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” 22 So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. (Luke 7:2-3,9,22)

Praise be to Jehovah God, who alone is great and capable of all things, who works salvation among us!

God, pro-Iranian militias and U.S. forces continued airstrikes on each other, resulting in the deaths of 7 Kurdish militias.

Due to conflicts among peoples, many lives, including those of the Kurdish militia, are injured or threatened.

God, they say that all these conflicts are for the benefit of their people and for revenge, but may you help them realize that in the end, it is utterly meaningless!

Lord, may you turn them back to you to put their hope only in you, God. Raise them up as your people who run for the kingdom of God, which you revealed to us through Jesus.

Lord, we lift up the Kurdish people.

Save this people from all strife and keep them from further casualties resulting from continuing retaliation!

Lead this people to the Lord with the power of the gospel! Please let the news of death stop now!

Lord, let us unite in prayer as the global church, proclaiming the name of Jesus with faith and crying out in sorrow for these peoples!
