[Field Story] Praise the name of Jesus, Turkiye

Hello, my name is Murat. I am from Turkiye.

One day, I came to believe in Jesus through a dream.

An angel appeared to me in my dream and asked if I believed in God, and as a Muslim I said yes. However, the angel told me about Jesus Christ.

After waking up from my dream, I read the book of Genesis and the New Testament and came to know that Jesus Chrsit suffered on the cross for me and that He is the Son of the Holy God.

That love was so amazing. The death of Jesus Christ was the wisdom of God that no god could fufill, and the truth that would lead to salvation for all.

Knowing the truth filled my heart with indescribable gratefulness. I chose to be a Chrstian with joy.

I came to know the truth at a very late age. I hope this precious love of Jesus Christ to be quickly preached to all people.

Now, I hope to grow the treasure of faith that the Lord has given me through the word, prayer and worship. Please pray for me that the rest of my life would be such a life!

I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am, here I am,” to a nation that was not called by my name. I spread out my hands all the day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, following their own devices; (Isaiah 65:1-2)

God, thank you for allowing Brother Murat to know you through dreams and for reading the Word and for believing in you Lord.

Like Brother Murat’s confession, let us become brothers who abide in the amazing love of Chrsit, and help us to become brothers who overcome with the love of the Lord in any situation.

May this news of indescribable joy spread to every corner of Turkiye thorugh this brother, and let many people come to know the love of Christ and believe in Jesus as soon as possible.

The God who met Brother Murat found those who did not seek the Lord, and He is the God who says, “I am here” to the nation that did not call on the name of the Lord.

Just as you met Brother Murat through dreams and visions, may you meet the Turkish people who do not seek you nor call upon your name and call the names of the Turkish people who are walking the wrong path so that they will hold onto your hand.

So, in 2023, may the holy church of the Lord rise up from all over Turkiye, confessing that Jesus is our God and that the Lord has saved us.

Now may Turkiye be a nation that calls upon the name of Jesus and sing of your salvation! May Turkiye be a nation that follows after the glorious path of the cross that our Lord has walked!
