[2024 Ramadan Day 26] The fertile fields will soon turn into forests. The Arab key to heaven that will open all closed doors, Lebanon

Lebanon belongs to the land of Canaan, which God said was a land flowing with milk and honey, and is the land where the cedar trees that Solomon used as pillars of the temple in Jerusalem grow. Tyre and Sidon are the land of Jesus' ministry 2,000 years ago and the background of the Bible where Apostle Paul and the Christian community were active.

Lebanon has a political system in which the president is a Christian, the prime minister is a Sunni, and the speaker of the National Assembly is a Shia. This background has emerged from the structure of conflict between Christianity and Islam that continues throughout Lebanon's history. For 15 years from 1975, a fight of revenge and killing between Islam and Christianity continued, and an Islamic militia organization to fight against Christian militias led to the creation of Hezbollah, a Shiite armed group that currently dominates Lebanon's politics.

In 2006, an armed conflict between Israel and Hezbollah resulted in the deaths of over a thousand Lebanese civilians and one million refugees in just one month. Therefore, most people in Lebanon today have scars and pain from the war, and although Christians and Muslims coexist together and seem peaceful, only hatred and resentment remain within them.

Additionally, Lebanon is the ‘Land of Mosaics’ and is neither a Christian nor an Islamic country, but recognizes 18 sects. In this way, religious pluralism is confusing the Lebanese people and preventing them from seeing the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. Although freedom of worship and evangelism is guaranteed by the constitution in the Middle East, the church in Lebanon is silent and does not spread the gospel to the countless dying Muslims.

“Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.” (Psalm 110:3)

Due to the recent war between Israel and Hamas, the Lebanese people are frustrated with anger, fear of death, and endless hopelessness. The situation in Lebanon seems to continue to descend into darkness and despair. Among these, some people are confessing their faith more earnestly than ever before to the God they believe in, and are diligently keeping the law in order to gain salvation.

Although the darkness is getting thicker and deeper, young people are coming to the Lord like the morning dew that forms in the darkest times. In the N region, where Islam is strong, Muslim youth gather together to worship and get to know Jesus through a group called ‘Return.’ Sister K said the lyrics of the praise song; ‘Hallelujah, the blood of Jesus has redeemed us. He erased our sins and made us righteous. My lips confess this love all day long.’ are so beautiful and sings along to the song, talking about Jesus, whom she met in her dream, every time that she comes to our gathering. Brother J was searching for the truth and happened to read the Bible. He heard the gospel through social media and came to our gathering because he wanted to know more about Jesus. In response to the question, ‘Who is Jesus?’, Brother J confessed, ‘He is our savior, the Son of God.’

Sister N also said that the more she read the Quran, the more contradictions there were, making her thirsty for the truth. She then happened to hear the gospel and she continued to ask questions about Jesus and confessed that her thoughts were changing. Hallelujah! We believe that God will shine the light of Jesus Christ among the youth and raise them up into young people like the morning dew who joyfully devote themselves to the Lord!

“Is it not yet a very little while until Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be regarded as a forest? In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book,

and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.

The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the Lord, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel. For the ruthless shall come to nothing and the scoffer cease, and all who watch to do evil shall be cut off.” (Isaiah 29:17-20)

As 2024 is beginning, God is awakening the Lebanese church and has called it to no longer be a church that is silent for its own comfort, but a church with the power to open all closed doors with the key to the Arab Kingdom of Heaven. Last January, through pastors' seminars and camps, God called faithful Lebanese pastors to the mission and poured vision into the Lebanese youth.

“I was afraid of preaching the gospel, but now I want to boldly go to the nations with the gospel. Just as the Lord loves us, we have come to realize how important the mission He has entrusted to us is. I want to spread the gospel according to that mission.” (Brother B)

“I decided to give my whole life to the Lord. The most important thing in the last days is to not stop preaching the gospel. Let all the churches of the Lord unite as an army and prepare the way for Jesus to come!” (Sister C)

Amen! God's covenant with the Lebanese people is surely being fulfilled! On the day of the last battle, through the youth of the Lord who are like the morning dew, standing on God's side and joyfully dedicating themselves, we will go beyond the revival of Lebanon, where fertile fields are considered forests, and achieve the history of revival of all nations!

2030 Key2%, the mission given by God to the Lebanese people! Spread the gospel to 2% of Lebanon, which accounts for 2% of the entire Arab population, pioneer gatherings of believers of Jesus from two Muslim backgrounds in each of seven major cities, and find faithful churches that God has left in the Arab lands. The mission is to establish 20 partner churches that send missionaries together and send 200 young missionaries to all countries through churches in Lebanon. Lebanon is the key to the Arab kingdom of heaven, which will surely open the closed doors of all nations and prepare for the Lord's return!

[Today’s prayer]

1. During the 2024 Ramadan, would You shine the light of Jesus Christ among those who are frustrated and discouraged due to endless dark situations and loss of hope. Among the youth that are like the morning dew that is formed in the darkest times, let the joy of salvation and the work of joyfully devoting themselves to the Lord overflow!

2. For the fulfillment of God’s Word in the last days, may You help the Lebanese church become a church with the power to stand on God’s side and fight battles, and move forward with all their devotion, looking towards the calling that God has given! May all closed doors be opened with the Arab key of heaven and may they run towards the nations with love and devotion with all their lives!

3. On the day of the last battle, countless young people in Lebanon, like the morning dew, must rise up and joyfully dedicate themselves to the Lord. Lord, would you surely raise up and send 200 SM student missionaries! Let a victorious YG army arise among the Lebanese people that will risk their lives and endure the final battle until the end and continue to overcome and have victory!
