[2023 Ramadan Day 8] The Trumpet of Revival that will Call the Armies of the Nations, Azerbaijan!

Azerbaijan is a largely unreached people group with a population of over ten million on the mainland, about 30 million in Iran, and more than 45 million in the Russian and Turkish diaspora combined. Evangelical Christians are less than 0.1%, and more than 95% are Muslim. However, there are a small number of Muslims who are zealous in their faith, and only 5% of them believe in Islam because of their ethnic identity. While it is not uncommon to see two types of people: those who do not fast during Ramadan or those who are forced to fast because their families are fasting, some try to observe the fast of their own will. When they fast to a certain extent, they intentionally show their faith and become proud of themselves. However, some show a greater spiritual thirst at times like these. There are local churches and Christians who are rather awake and praying for local Muslims and sharing the Gospel, and through them, there are local people who accept Jesus during Ramadan.

Although the Coronavirus situation has ended around the world, Azerbaijan has been under a special quarantine order and border closure measures since the corona pandemic, and this period has been extended again until May 1st, and measures such as presenting vaccination certificates and prohibiting land entry into Azerbaijan are being implemented. However, in reality, the border closure appears to have been tightened as a result of the probation after the territorial war between Azerbaijan and Armenia. As a result, young people of faith are almost not able to enter this land. The generation most displaced by Corona and war are Young Generation, and they need the gospel even more at this time. Many young men who go to war either die and some of those who returned face difficulties due to physical injuries and mental trauma. Their families are also embracing the pain and hardship as they are in despair. Also, other young people are chasing more and more money because of the uncertain future of the land. The Young Generation of Christ, who have true hope must come and touch their hearts.

During and after the war with Armenia, the Azerbaijani government continued to work on national unity. Moreover, religious powers are cracking down to follow the government's will. There has been a national hatred of Armenia for a long time, and since Armenia is a Christian country, Christians and Christian leaders in Azerbaijan are forced to take more notice and be cautious of the government. Some local believers actively supported the government and declared that it was the will of God to win the war and regain the land. Local churches must wake up and a new generation must rise from this nation to break through these situations.

Thankfully, there are Young Generation and churches in this land who are rising in the end times with the hope to see the restoration of the nations and the return of Jesus Christ. Despite the land border closures, there are young people of faith who prepared their finances to go long distances to the nations to testify the gospel even in the midst of difficult financial conditions. There are young people of faith and churches who are praying for the restoration of the nations with the heart of God. They will rise as a new generation that will fulfill God's word and vision in this land.

During this Ramadan, may the work of proclaiming the truth to more souls arise, and may they be to eternal life. Lord, may we meet young people who respond to the Gospel and many more of those whom you have prepared, and may the churches and YG in this land awaken and rise up in faith!!

1. Thank you, Lord, for granting a time of salvation in Azerbaijan! During Ramadan, Satan tries to bind them into darkness, but we declare that the power of Islam, secularism, and pluralism have already been abolished! May the Gospel be testified to them faster than the power of darkness and death. Thus, let the time of grace and the day of salvation be proclaimed throughout Azerbaijan! May the number of those who are saved increase day by day!

2. The Day of Salvation has been proclaimed in Azerbaijan! The remnant of Azeri will come to the Lord! Lord, during this month of Ramadan, help the community of faith that breaks all the powers of darkness to awaken spiritually! Let a new generation arise that will overcome the hatred and darkness of this land and advance the work of the Lord! May we move the gospel of Jesus forward from Azerbaijan to all nations through unstoppable worship and prayer!!
