[Today's Prayer] UN Expeditionary Force in Lebanon warns of 'crisis' in Israel-Lebanon Conflict
The Lebanese state-run NNA news agency reported that the United Nations Temporary Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) issued a statement on the 13th (local time) warning that the rapidly escalating tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border are "critical.”
Candace Ardel, UNIFIL's deputy director of public affairs, stated in the announcement that day that "the tensions at the Lebanese-Israeli border over the past few days show the potential for rapid escalation into several larger warfares in the future."
The news agency reported that she then asked the Israeli and Lebanese governments to refrain from taking further actions that could escalate tensions.
Lebanon's Hezbollah leader Hayed Hassan Nasrallah released a statement on the 12th, marking the 17th anniversary of the 2006 Golan Heights' '34-Day War', saying, "Lebanon will never give up the southern village of al-Ghajar that was taken by Israel." He then expressed his intention to reclaim the land.
In a nationally televised speech, Nasrallah stressed that "the liberation of al-Gazar is the mission of the Lebanese state, its people and the people of resistance." At the same time, he pointed out that Israel's enemies occupied the Golan Heights, which includes al-Ghajar, in the 2006 war of aggression and finished installing a border wall in the northern part of this village, and have now turned it into a tourist destination.
The Lebanese Internet news website El Nashra reported that, earlier the same day, an Israeli drone struck a site where Hezbollah forces were building an outpost in the southern Lebanese border town of Yarine, injuring three people. Hezbollah shot down the drone, and the two countries have been on high alert ever since.

25 For David says concerning him, "I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken.”
26 Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope.
27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. (Acts 2:25-27)
God, the faithful Father of Israel and Lebanon, we are hearing news that tensions are rapidly escalating recently on the border between these two countries that have been in conflict for a long time.
In the midst of constant conflict between the two countries, may the Lord have mercy on the souls of Lebanon and Israel, who are trembling in anxiety and suffering in fear, and be their one and only refuge.
We confess that the only one who can deliver them from the fear of death is the Lamb of God, Jesus, who does not abandon our souls to Hades but becomes the rock of salvation for us.
Jesus, the rock of salvation for Lebanon and Israel, lift up their eyes and let them see the living God. May they meet the faithful Lord who is always in front of them and keeps us from being shaken.
Through the salvation that you grant to us, may they rejoice with their hearts and praise you with their tongues in joy, and may their flesh abide in your hope.
Therefore, let Lebanon and Israel no longer look for a place to live on this earth, but look to the place that you have prepared for us, and may they become one in the hope of heaven and become a holy nation that willingly and joyfully commits to the eternal kingdom of God.
