Russian authorities and military bloggers said Ukrainian forces had used ground and air attacks to close in on Sudja, a town of 5,000 people about 10 kilometers from the border.

According to CNN, the video showed buildings at the border area being destroyed and the village of Sudja damaged by shelling.

Another video showed Ukrainian troops approaching the village. However, CNN reported that based on this video alone, it is unclear whether Ukrainian troops entered the village or took control of it.
