Updated: Jul 28
In Taiwan, where Typhoon Ant hit No. 3, a closure order was issued for the second day due to heavy rain and strong winds, and casualties and property damage continued to occur.
According to Taiwanese media, including Jayu Times and Yonhap News Agency, on the 25th, the Central Disaster Response Headquarters announced that as of 8 a.m. on the same day, two people were killed, 279 injured, and hundreds of thousands of households lost power due to Typhoon Ant.
The Disaster Response Headquarters added that as of 9 p.m. the previous day, 1,789 street trees had fallen and numerous cars and motorcycles were also damaged.
In the southern city of Kaohsiung, a 64-year-old caregiver who was riding a motorcycle to work died after being crushed by a tree branch broken by strong winds.
Also, in Hualien City, a steel structure installed on the roof of a five-story building struck a passing vehicle, killing a woman in her 40s who was riding in the back seat, and her 7-year-old son was transferred to the intensive care unit for treatment, Taiwanese media reported.

It was reported that this year's Ant was a 'strong' typhoon that landed in Taiwan about 8 years after the first typhoon Nepartak in July 2016.
Ant is moving north through Taiwan to the southeastern coast of China, making China very nervous. As Ant was expected to land in Fujian Province, close to Taiwan, late this afternoon, Chinese authorities issued a typhoon red alert, the highest level, for the region for the first time this year.

4 For if you are careful to carry out these commands, then kings who sit on David’s throne will come through the gates of this palace, riding in chariots and on horses, accompanied by their officials and their people. 5 But if you do not obey these commands, declares the Lord, I swear by myself that this palace will become a ruin.’”(Jer 22:4-5) O land, land, land, hear the word of the Lord!(Jer 22:29)
Lord, we hear news that tens of thousands of people have been evacuated in Taiwan due to heavy rain and strong winds that cause damage one after another.
Please have mercy on Taiwan, which was devastated by the typhoon. In the midst of the thirsty hearts of this land where there have been deaths and tens of thousands of houses have lost power and collapsed, may you watch over and make Taiwan a land of the Lord that only fears Lord our God and listens to His word.
May all idols that bind Taiwan leave, and let Taiwan become a land that follows only the Lord our God, the ruler of all nature and life.
