[Today's Prayer] Turkish Defense "Supporting Training for Syrian Army... No Plans to Withdraw Troops"

The Turkish Defense Minister said that Turkey is providing military training to the new Syrian government and that there are no immediate plans to withdraw Turkish troops from Syria.

On the 4th (local time), Defense Minister Yasar Guler said that Turkey is training the Syrian army and that Turkey has no plans to withdraw or transfer troops stationed in Syria, Reuters reported.

In December last year, the armed group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, Hayat) led by Ahmed Sharaa overthrew the Bashar Assad regime and took power, and many believe that Turkey, which borders Syria, supported Hayat.

Minister Guler said, "We have started providing military training and consulting services while taking steps to strengthen Syria's defense capabilities." He also said that he was negotiating with Israel, which has been bombing Syria since the fall of the Assad regime.

Turkey and Israel are competing to expand their influence inside Syria. Turkey has been keeping an eye on the Kurdish armed groups in Syria, which border the country, due to the Kurdish separatist movement within its own country. It has been exerting influence in northern Syria by militarily attacking the Kurdish armed groups.

When Turkey tried to station its troops at several military bases, including the T4 Air Base near Palmyra, Syria, the Israeli military responded by surprise bombing the T4 Air Base on the 2nd of last month, destroying the runway and radar facilities. At the time, the Turkish Foreign Ministry criticized Israel for inciting chaos.

The Lord knows that the thoughts of man are futile (Psalm 94:11)

We hear news that the Turkish military has announced that it will provide training support to the Syrian military and has no plans to withdraw or relocate its troops stationed in Syria.

We will lift up to you the situation in which Turkey is struggling to gain hegemony in the Middle East, such as monitoring the Kurdish armed groups in Syria and trying to lead negotiations with Israel.

Amid the heartbreaking realities of the increasing chaos in the world situation and the Middle East, we confess that without the Lord, there is no peace in this world and nothing can replace Jesus Christ as the light of the world.

The civil war has ended, but Syria is still suffering and unable to find a way out. In a situation where Turkey and Israel are eyeing it, the souls of Syria and Kurdistan are exhausted and living without hope, like sheep without a shepherd. May the Lord be the true shepherd of Syria and Kurdistan and guide the path that Syria and Kurdistan should take.

Also, may the Lord remember the souls of Turkey and Israel who are confused under the governments of Turkey and Israel who are struggling to gain something more in the midst of the unstable world situation, and may they come to know the eternal kingdom of God, fear the Lord, and return to the Lord.

When the Lord comes again, may the churches of Turkey, Israel, Syria, and Kurdistan unite first and strive to spread the gospel so that they will follow the true truth rather than following those who only seek their own interests by focusing on the vain and empty things of the world on the earth of the flesh that will disappear.

Remember the Great Commission of God, who is greater than every nation, and let us serve beyond the nations, so that the way of the cross may reach the nations beyond Turkey, Israel, Syria, and Kurdistan.

So may the nations may be ruled by Jesus Christ, and may the day come soon when the kingdom of God is established on earth as it is in heaven!
