Saudi Arabia plans to soon announce a large-scale investment plan for Syria, Talal Al Hilali, the head of the Syrian Investment Promotion Agency, said on the 3rd (local time) at the World Government Summit (WGS) in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to Reuters, Al Hilali said that Saudi Arabia will invest not in the form of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), but in the form of contracts that can be implemented immediately. He did not disclose the specific investment scale.

Since the overthrow of the dictatorial regime of Bashar al-Assad in December 2024, the interim government of Syria has been striving to attract investment to rebuild the economy devastated by more than 13 years of civil war.

Last year, Saudi Arabia announced a $6.3 billion (about 9.3 trillion won) investment plan involving about 100 local companies in 47 contracts, Reuters reported.

May God have mercy on the devastated land and hearts of Syria and smooth all processes so that the investment attraction for Syria's recovery can proceed smoothly.

In the situation where Saudi Arabia, which supports Sunni Islam, is also investing to solidify the Sunni camp to prevent Syria from falling under the influence of Shia Islam, I pray that the gospel of truth will first enter Syria and that the unity of the Syrian and Arab churches will come first, so that the salvation of Jesus Christ may come.

To this end, I hope that the global church will serve more wholeheartedly in prayer for the reconstruction of Syria, and that not only Saudi Arabia but the entire world will cooperate to lead the process of raising Syria.

May the vision of raising a youth army in Syria who will not spare their lives for Jesus and the gospel be cultivated, and may workers who will serve Syria with their lives be sent out from the Arab and global churches.

Thus, through the church of the Lord, which no power of hell can harm, may the Syrian people be filled with worship, and may the Arab and all nations be revived.
