[Today's Prayer] Pakistan Army kills 14 armed rebels in northwestern region near Afghanistan

The Pakistan Army killed 14 armed rebels in a gunfight in the northwestern region near Afghanistan.

According to the Associated Press on the 4th (local time), the Pakistani military authorities announced in a statement that they raided the hideout of the armed rebels and killed 14 of them.

The Pakistani military added that they conducted an overnight raid in the northwestern provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and North Waziristan on the 2nd and 3rd.

The operation was conducted based on intelligence that members of the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) affiliated with India were hiding, but India has not made any statement, the AP reported.

The Pakistani military said that a clean-up operation to eliminate the TTP, which is believed to be supported by the Indian government, is currently underway.

Pakistan has accused its arch-rival India of supporting the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the TTP, separatist militants that have stepped up attacks in Pakistan in recent months.
