[Today’s Prayer] Netanyahu: Hostage negotiations are possible if we hold firm
Reuters and the Times of Israel reported on the 23rd (local time) that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is visiting the United States, mentioned that there is progress in negotiations for the release of hostages with the Palestinian armed political group Hamas.
Regarding the terms of the negotiations, Prime Minister Netanyahu said at a meeting with the families of American-Israeli hostages in Washington, D.C., the previous afternoon, that "without a doubt, the conditions are ripening," and "this is a good sign."
“There are other signs that the enemy's morale is beginning to erode,” he said. “We are seeing changes, and these changes will only increase.”
He then emphasized, “If Israel holds firm, we will be able to reach an agreement.”
However, Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized on this day, "Under no circumstances do we intend to give up our victory over Hamas," and added, "If we give up, we will be in danger from Iran's 'axis of evil'."
