[Today's Prayer] Israeli Military: "Intercepted Missile from Yemen"…Houthi Attempted Attack on Beersheba

The Israeli military announced that a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted shortly after entering Israeli airspace over the southern region. Meanwhile, the Yemeni 'pro-Iran' armed group, the Houthi rebels, claim they "successfully struck."

The local daily Times of Israel reported on the 28th (local time) that the Israeli military intercepted a missile from Yemen. That morning, as the missile entered Israeli airspace, air raid sirens sounded in major southern cities including Beersheba, Dimona, and Arad. The Israeli military stated that their “air defense system” was activated to intercept the missile.

Since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza in October 2023, the Houthis have repeatedly launched missile and drone attacks against Israel under the pretext of solidarity with Palestine. Lord, since the outbreak of the Gaza war, instability has spread across the Middle East. The Houthi rebels of Yemen have attacked with drones and missiles in solidarity with Palestine. Even now, the conflict between Israel and Yemen remains deep and unresolved.

Lord, the holy gospel of Jesus Christ is the joyful news that sets the oppressed free. May this beautiful message resound even more powerfully between Yemen and Israel. Break the power of death, hatred, and all sin that bind these two peoples, so they may enjoy true freedom in You and praise the holy name of Jesus.

To this end, let the Arab churches and Israeli churches first unite in the gospel. May they pray with tears for their nations and spread the gospel to one another.
