Israel carried out an airstrike on Syria for the first time in nearly four weeks, according to the Times of Israel on the 30th (local time).
The Israeli military announced that it had bombed an anti-ship missile depot in the port city of Latakia, located in western Syria on the Mediterranean coast.
They emphasized that Syria’s missile arsenal poses a threat to “freedom of navigation” for the international community and Israel.
The Israeli forces also reported attacking an air defense missile facility near Latakia.
The last Israeli strike on Syria occurred on the 3rd of the previous month. Recently, as the United States—Israel’s key ally—has been working to ease tensions with Syria, such attacks had become less frequent.

"You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess." (Deuteronomy 5:33)
Heavenly Father,
We hear the news that Israel has carried out an airstrike on Latakia, Syria, after four weeks—targeting an anti-ship missile depot and related facilities.
Lord, we know that the destruction of weapons, even for freedom of navigation, can never bring true peace. We confess that true peace comes only through Jesus Christ.
May Your gospel—our only hope—bring healing and renewal to Israel and Syria, and cause the conflict and warfare between the two nations to cease.
For Syria and Israel to be renewed by the gospel, the global Church must first rise and carry that gospel forth.
Lord, stir the global Church to respond to this news with deeper intercession for Syria and Israel, and to go forth boldly with the message of salvation.
May the gospel be planted in the hearts of those spiritually impoverished by war, and may the fruit of salvation grow in them.Raise up holy churches across these lands.
Let the attacks against one another come to an end. Make Israel and Syria holy nations that pray for one another and proclaim the gospel together.
Let it not be missiles and war that rain down on Syria and Israel, but the gospel and the Word of the Lord—bringing new life to every dying soul.
For this to happen, we pray that the churches in Syria and Israel would first be united in the love of Jesus Christ.
May they repent of all hatred and wrongdoing committed against one another, and stand together in prayer for their peoples.
And when that happens, may the holy churches of Syria and Israel rise to fulfill the Great Commission—to make disciples of all nations.
Let us witness the fulfillment of Your promise: that by keeping all You have commanded, they may become a blessing among the nations.
Let holy nations of Syria and Israel rise in these last days to fulfill Your Word!May they carry the gospel to all nations and become a blessing in the world!
