[Today’s Prayer] Israel rescues two hostages through special operation in Rafah, Gaza
The Israeli military announced that it rescued two hostages through a special operation in Rafah, the southernmost city of the Gaza Strip, in the early morning of the 12th (local time).
According to AFP, the Israeli military issued a statement on this day, saying, "Fernando Simon Marman (60), Luis Har (70), and others were killed overnight in a joint operation by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the intelligence agency Shin Bet (ISA), and the Israeli police in Rafah. “Two Israeli hostages were rescued,” he explained.
These hostages were kidnapped to the Gaza Strip during Hamas' surprise attack on Israel on October 7 last year.
“Both men are in good health and were taken to Sheva Tel HaShomer Hospital for medical examination,” the Israeli military added.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Health Ministry, run by Hamas, reported that at least 52 people were killed in the Israeli airstrike on Rafah.
Gaza's health ministry claimed that Israeli airstrikes hit 14 houses and three mosques in the Rafah area.
The Israeli military issued a statement earlier in the day, announcing that it had carried out a series of attacks on terrorist targets in the Shabura area in southern Gaza Strip.
Rafah is a city bordering Egypt, and if this place, where a large number of refugees flock, is devastated, the residents of Gaza will no longer have a place to stand. 1.4 million people, more than half of the population of the Gaza Strip, reside in Rafah.
For this reason, the international community is concerned about Israel's airstrike on Rafah.

For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. (Romans 16:19-20)
As the war between Israel and Palestine continues, we hear the sad news that at least 52 people have been killed in the Rafah area, where refugees are concentrated, due to an airstrike carried out by the Israeli military during an operation to rescue two hostages.
At this time when the prayers of the remnants are even more urgent, may the churches of Israel and Palestine pray and serve the families of the victims and take the lead in spreading the gospel.
May you help them become one community that spreads the gospel and love of Jesus according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, who makes us wise for goodness regardless of nationality.
Let them trust in the God of peace, who makes us foolish when it comes to evil, and tramples Satan under our feet who causes us to hate one another in the midst of war, and empowers us to proclaim the eternal kingdom of God.
Therefore, may the deep conflict between Isaac and Ishmael be cut off through those who obey Jesus Christ, and may the day come quickly when it is declared to all nations that the grace of the Lord Jesus is now present in Israel and Palestine as well.
