[Today’s Prayer] Iraqi forces claim massive bombing of ISIS hideouts to "eliminate terrorists."

The Iraqi military's Joint Operations Command (JOC) announced that Iraqi security forces carried out a large-scale bombing operation on a hideout of the Islamic extremist group Islamic State (IS) in the eastern part of Salahuddin Province in the early morning of the 23rd (local time), killing the "terrorists" inside.

According to a Joint Command (JOC) statement cited by Xinhua News Agency and other sources, the Iraqi military has been gathering reliable intelligence through aerial reconnaissance of IS hideouts in eastern Salahuddin Province for several days.

The Air Force reportedly launched airstrikes at 2:00 a.m. on the 23rd.

The Iraqi military stated that the airstrikes completely destroyed the IS hideout and eliminated "all terrorists" inside.

They also announced that they would track down and eradicate any remaining terrorist remnants within Iraq.

According to Iraqi security sources, at least three ISIS fighters were killed in the operation, one of whom was a senior leader of the group.

Lord, we hear that the Iraqi Air Force has carried out a large-scale bombing operation on IS hideouts within Iraq, completely destroying them and eliminating at least three IS members, including one high-ranking leader.

Lord, even as ISIS continues to exert influence across Iraq and its members live without hope, pursuing the false goals of Islam, grant us the faith to see that the truth they must hear is found in Jesus Christ, the Savior.

May they believe that salvation does not come from human strength or numbers, but from the Lord God, and may all false idols and spirits of death that have been exalted above God among the Iraqi people be cut off.

May the Iraqi church testify to the gospel, fearing the Lord and looking to His mercy, believing in and relying on the God who delivers us from death to life.

May the global church be awakened to pray for the Iraqi people, so that through prayer, countless souls in Iraq may encounter Jesus, the source of life, and be saved.

May the Iraqi people be restored to their original form, created by the hand of God, as described in Isaiah 19, and may they now become a nation that turns the nations from death to life!
