[Today’s Prayer] Iran warns US on rejection of a ceasefire resolution… “Middle East will explode”

AFP reported on the 9th (local time) that Iran issued a warning after the resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian armed faction Hamas was rejected by the United Nations Security Council, due to opposition from the United States.

According to Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian pointed out in a phone call with UN Secretary-General António Guterres that day, "US support for Israel has made it difficult to continue the ceasefire."

He said, "As long as the United States supports the Zionist regime (Israel) continuing crime and war, there is a possibility of uncontrollable explosions in this region."

The Security Council voted on a resolution urging a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas submitted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at a meeting the previous day, but the adoption was cancelled as the United States, a permanent member, exercised its veto.

However, Minister Amir-Abdollahian said that Secretary-General Guterres had convened this meeting while invoking Article 99 of the UN Charter, which allows him to directly request discussion on specific issues from the Security Council, calling it "a courageous act to maintain international peace and security" and evaluated it positively.

“We must allow humanitarian aid to be sent to Gaza,” he said, calling for the immediate reopening of the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and southern Gaza.

Lord, we confess that the precious blood you shed is the blood that saved all nations and overcame the power of death. Please allow the power of Christ’s resurrection to come to this earth.

Would you destroy all powers of Satan that continue this war. Please come as the Prince of Peace and cover the people of Israel and Palestine, who are crying out in sorrow and pain, with your precious blood.

We want all churches, the body of Christ, to pray and move forward in faith to the end for the ongoing conflicts and sins of this land. When we take in the victory of the cross achieved by the Lord and pray, may all wars come to an end and the day of glory of Jesus Christ come.
