Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened on the 15th (local time) that Israel’s military attacks on Iran could result in a regime change in Iran. Although Iran has expressed willingness for a ceasefire, Israel’s rejection implies an intention to intensify its offensive.
U.S. President Donald Trump urged both sides to negotiate but added, “Sometimes nations need to fight it out first,” expressing support for Israel. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, also emphasized, “Israel has the right to defend itself” and reiterated that “Iran must never possess nuclear weapons.”
In an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu was asked whether regime change in Iran is part of Israel’s military goals. He responded, “The regime in Iran is very weak, so it certainly could be a result.” He added, “We are prepared to do whatever is necessary to achieve two objectives: eliminating the nuclear threat and the threat of ballistic missiles.”
When asked about a Reuters report claiming Trump rejected an Israeli plan to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Netanyahu declined to comment, saying, “I won’t address that issue.”
On the fourth day of the conflict between Israel and Iran, June 16 (local time), Iran continued missile attacks on several major Israeli cities, resulting in a growing number of casualties. At the same time, Israel has escalated its attacks on Iran’s core energy infrastructure, including nuclear facilities, gas fields, and natural gas plants.
The New York Times (NYT) reported that Israel had carried out an airstrike on the Quds Force headquarters, the elite arm of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which reports directly to Iran’s Supreme Leader.

"And you shall do the same with his donkey or with his garment, or with any lost thing of your brother’s, which he loses and you find; you may not ignore it. You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen down by the way and ignore them. You shall help him to lift them up again."(Deuteronomy 22:3–4)
We hear the news that on June 14, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected Iran’s ceasefire offer and declared Israel would continue its military offensives with the goal of regime change in Iran.
As the armed conflict between Israel and Iran continues, resulting in numerous casualties and the destruction of key infrastructure, Lord, have mercy on the souls trembling under the shadow of death in both nations. Be their refuge.
May this war end so that not a single soul is lost, and may the people of Israel and Iran who must rebuild their broken lives be lifted up by the prayers and service of the global Church.
May the Churches in Israel and Iran be the first to forgive and unite to share the gospel. May they also raise their voices on urgent issues such as Iran’s nuclear threat and Israel’s airstrikes, showing that the gospel—not war—is the true answer that saves nations.
Believing that we are called as brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, may the Churches of Israel, Iran, and around the world unite in prayer, so that God’s will in heaven will be done on earth, and the power of the cross will be fulfilled.
Through all this, may the hardened hearts of the people of Israel be broken and softened like good soil, and may the revival given to Iran flow into Israel, bearing thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold fruit.
Grant even greater revival in Israel and Iran than before, and make them a model for the nations by proclaiming the gospel. Prepare the way for the day of the Lord’s return, together with all nations.
Amen.
