[Today's Prayer] Hundreds of thousands of people protest in Israel after six hostages die in Gaza

Hundreds of thousands of people in Israel have taken to the streets to demand the release of the hostages and a ceasefire after six hostages, including an American, were found dead in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, the Israeli military announced on the 31st of last month (local time) that it had found the bodies of six hostages held by the Palestinian militant group Hamas in a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip. According to the military, the hostages were killed just before entering a tunnel in Rafah, the southernmost city in the Gaza Strip.

Protesters gathered in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a ceasefire with Hamas and return the remaining hostages.

The Israel Hostage and Missing Families Forum told CNN that 700,000 people protested across Israel, with 550,000 in Tel Aviv alone.

According to Israeli authorities, about 60 hostages currently held in the Gaza Strip are believed to be alive, and about 35 are believed to have died.

For not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them. For not in my bow do I trust, nor can my sword save me. (Psalm 44:3,6)

As the bodies of six hostages taken by Hamas were found, we hear news that 700,000 people in Israel have protested amidst concerns and fears that their beloved family members and friends may not return.

God of Israel and Palestine, would you please stop the war between Israel and Hamas, which seems endless when viewed through human eyes, with your merciful hand. We proclaim that it is not our bows and swords that can save them from death and sin, but the blood of the cross.

In the time of revival when Jews and Muslims from all over the world accept Jesus Christ, may God's people, Israel and Palestine, also have hope for heaven and become a nation that God rejoices in by abandoning all the sins and idolatry of this land.

May all those who seek the Lord in Israel and Palestine love God with all their heart, mind, and strength and strive to testify to God's perfect love.

Therefore, may the hatred and strife between the two nations end according to God's method, and may they only follow the path Jesus took and fulfill the role of a people of royal priesthood of the nations!
