[Today’s Prayer] China grapples with 'heavy rain', highway bridge collapse... 11 dead, 30 missing

Chinese state media reported on the 20th that 11 people were killed and about 30 were missing due to a highway bridge collapse due to heavy rain on the 19th in Shaanxi Province, China. Damage caused by extreme weather events such as heat waves and heavy rain that began early this year appears to be continuing into the second half of the year.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the accident occurred around 8:40 pm (local time) on a highway in Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province, in the north-central region.
Some sections of the bridge collapsed due to flooding caused by continued heavy rain, and about 20 vehicles and 30 people were washed away in the river. State-run China Central ( CC ) TV reported that 11 of the dead were identified inside the five vehicles where they were found.
Chinese fire authorities are conducting rescue and search operations for missing people with the support of local residents. Chinese media reported that the number of people mobilized for the rescue was close to 900, and 90 rescue vehicles, 20 boats, and 41 drones were deployed.
On the 6th (local time), part of the embankment of Dongting Lake, the second largest freshwater lake in China, collapsed due to heavier rain than usual. Fortunately, there were no casualties due to the quick response of the authorities. Authorities mobilized about 2,100 rescue workers and 160 boats to carry out emergency recovery work. Over 50,000 tons of sand, gravel, and 1,320 tons of rice were used.
In China's Hunan Province, the water level in the Yangtze River has risen due to the largest heavy rain of the year since the 16th of last month, forcing nearly 250,000 residents to leave their homes and live in temporary residential facilities this week alone. On the other hand, the heat wave continues in the northern region.
The damage China suffered from natural disasters in the first half of the year amounted to 93.16 billion yuan (about 17.6 trillion won). The Ministry of Emergency Management reported that 32.38 million people were affected by natural disasters during that period, and 322 people died or went missing. It was also added that 3.17 million ha ( 1 hectare is 10,000 m2) of agricultural land was damaged.

On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Mark 2:17)
We hear that China is suffering from heavy rains.
Lord whom we love! We see the devastation in the center of China due to heavy rains.
For souls who have suddenly lost their home, who have suddenly lost the ground of their lives, may the Holy Spirit be with them at this time!
Do not allow any more damage from the heavy rains and have pity on them!
May the Chinese people realize in Jesus how sinful they were before, living without knowing Jesus Christ, who is the truth, and how sinful they are now!
The gospel of Jesus Christ has been firmly established in the midst of a diseased heart and in life living as a sinner.
Help them to be strong and be transformed into the righteous person!
