[Today’s Prayer] Bombing in the Afghan city where the top Taliban leader resides... Rumors of 20 deaths

AFP news agency reported on the 21st (local time) that a suicide bombing occurred in southern Kandahar, Afghanistan's second largest city and where Taliban leader Haibatullah Akhundzada resides, killing several people.
According to this report, a bomb exploded in front of the New Kabul Bank branch in central Kandahar around 8 a.m. on this day, killing or injuring people waiting in front of the bank to withdraw cash.
Afghan police announced that three people were killed and 12 injured in the attack, but AFP reported that the death toll reached 20, citing a statement from a nearby hospital.
The Taliban, the ruling Afghan force, identified this incident as being caused by the extremist terrorist organization Islamic State (IS), and IS also claimed responsibility for the attack through its Telegram channel later that day.

37 Peter said to him, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.” 38 Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster will not crow till you have denied me three times. (John 13:37-38)
We praise Jesus Christ, our eternal Lord, who knew all the sins of this world in advance, yet loved the world to the point of giving his life.
Lord, today we once again hear the sorrowful news from Afghanistan, which has been living in pain and despair since the Taliban took control of the country.
Please show mercy to the Taliban and IS, who live with the same faith, but are hostile to each other and even take their lives, and to all those living in Afghanistan.
We look to the Lord who loved Peter, made him a disciple, and was with him even though he knew that Peter would deny the Lord three times.
Please cover them with the love of Jesus Christ, who gave his life for the salvation of all mankind, and let us finally see the day when they repent with tears and come to the cross.
Please uproot all of Satan's deep-rooted lies that deceive them and drive each other to death, and pour out the spirit that discerns the truth so that they can discover the truth, Jesus Christ.
May those who run without sparing their lives to achieve their goals be reborn as strong soldiers of the Lord who advance for Jesus and the gospel.
Especially during this Ramadan, please visit them in dreams and visions among those who fast and come before their God, and let us witness their lives being completely transformed by the undeniable grace of God.
