[Mission Field News] Myanmar: Turning All Nations Back to the Lord

(The photo above is unrelated to the content.)
Hello. My name is Aung Zaw, and I live in Kalaymyo, Myanmar.
Due to my financial circumstances, I was unable to afford the Vision School fees right away. However, by God's grace, I sold my computer to participate in the training. I have been praying for Laos and hoping to share the Gospel with the people of Laos through short-term missions.
Using my personal allowance, I travel to various parts of Myanmar every week to share the Gospel.
During one of these trips, I met a 45-year-old brother named U Min Min. He acknowledged that he was a sinner and an alcoholic, and believed that he could not go to heaven.
I shared the Gospel with Brother U Min Min, explaining that Jesus came into this world to save sinners and that Jesus is our Savior.
He then asked me, "Can someone like me, who is a sinner, also believe in Jesus?" I answered, "If you believe in Jesus, you can be saved from hell."
Having found hope, Brother U Min Min immediately accepted Jesus as his Savior and received true peace in his heart.
Recently, I also shared the Gospel with a Buddhist family here in Kalaymyo. I heard that the young man in that family had been forcibly arrested by the military and taken away for conscription, but his family paid money to secure his release. Please also pray for Myanmar, where young people are being arrested and forcibly conscripted every week.
There are obstacles I must overcome in order to go on a short-term mission to Laos. First, I need to travel from Kalaymyo to a nearby city before I can reach the capital of Laos. However, I still do not have sufficient finances to cover the airfare and other necessary expenses.
Nevertheless, I am preparing with faith, believing that God will provide everything I need to go on a short-term mission to Laos.
Please pray that God will open the way, provide the finances needed for this journey, and allow me to experience the joy of sharing the Gospel with the people of Laos.
"Come, let us return to the LORD; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him. Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth." (Hosea 6:1–3)
Lord, we praise You for loving Brother Aung Zaw, helping him discover the joy of sharing the Gospel, and leading him to commit to Vision School training and a short-term mission trip to Laos.
Even though his financial circumstances are difficult, Brother Aung Zaw sold his computer to participate in Vision School. May You joyfully receive his heart, and please provide all the finances necessary for his future ministry and short-term mission to Laos.
Lord, please remember Brother U Min Min, whom Brother Aung Zaw shared the Gospel with, as well as the young man from the Buddhist family he met in Kalaymyo. Please guide them to live lives in which they share the joy of hearing and accepting the Gospel with the people of Kalaymyo and Laos.
Even amid personal weaknesses and difficult national circumstances, including forced military conscription, You are opening the ears of the people of Myanmar to hear the Gospel. Please raise up more local Myanmar ministers like Brother Aung Zaw, who will lead the people back to the LORD so that they may receive healing in You and experience the joy of the resurrection.
May the global church pray for the young generation of Myanmar who long to know the LORD. May the churches around the world also raise their voices against the injustice of forced conscription and intercede for the establishment of leaders in Myanmar who fear God.
May the presence of Jesus come upon Myanmar as surely as the morning light, and may You thoroughly saturate every soul in Myanmar with the Holy Spirit, just as the spring rains thoroughly water the earth. May the nation of Myanmar become a nation that fulfills God's vision for the ASEAN Window and all the nations of the world.
Thus, may Myanmar advance along the Asian Highway, turning all nations back to the Lord!
