On the 22nd (local time), Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary General of Lebanon’s armed faction Hezbollah, issued a statement to Arab and Islamic nations, urging them to take action against Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza on behalf of the Palestinian residents.
According to Lebanon’s state-run LNNA News Agency, Qassem emphasized,
“The responsibility lies with Arab and Islamic countries—both governments and peoples. Choose any level of counterattack you can manage, but do not remain passive bystanders simply watching.”
Qassem framed Israel’s attack on Gaza as part of a broader, joint U.S.-Israel offensive. He condemned the two countries for committing atrocities that go beyond all humanitarian and moral standards, citing "genocide, starvation, and indiscriminate killings."
“It’s not enough that other countries are merely calling for a ceasefire. What’s needed now are concrete measures: sanctions against Israel, diplomatic isolation, and the termination of all forms of cooperation with Israel,” Qassem stated.
He further declared that Arab and Islamic countries must immediately suspend all normalization efforts, close Israeli embassies, and organize humanitarian relief efforts for Gaza. Only such united action, he said, can influence U.S. policy.

Following the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah last October, Qassem became the fourth leader of the organization. Recently, he again declared there would be no ceasefire with Israel and the United States, and called for continued resistance.
Even after recent Israeli airstrikes on Iran, he expressed solidarity with Iran and urged surrounding Arab and Islamic nations to join in the fight and stand together in unity and struggle.

“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”(Acts 16:25–26)
Father God, we hear the news that Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary General of Lebanon’s armed group Hezbollah, has issued a statement calling upon Arab and Islamic countries to take action against Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza on behalf of the Palestinian people.
Have mercy on Lebanon, which has long been at war with Israel and is now filled with resentment and anger. They follow the ways of the world by repaying evil with evil, inciting conflict between Arab-Islamic countries and the people of Israel.
Lord, may the Church in Lebanon—established by You—and the global Church entrust the issues of the Middle East fully to You, praying and praising God.
May a spiritual earthquake shake Lebanon and the Middle East, so that the issues of the region—like those imprisoned—will be broken free by the power of the Gospel, and all the curses of sin that have bound Arab souls will be cut off.
Let the peoples of the Middle East not repay evil with evil, but forgive and embrace one another in the love of Jesus, overcoming evil with good.
May Lebanon now rise, carrying the Gospel of the Kingdom, going forth into all Arab nations and proclaiming the true peace of Yeshua!
Let the Lebanese people arise as a holy nation entrusted with the mission of the Kingdom key—opening wide the doors of the Gospel that have long been shut in the Arab world!
