Hello? I'm Rosemary, living in Myanmar.
My country is a Buddhist nation, and most people practice Buddhism. On the other hand, I encountered God through Sunday school and summer Bible school from a young age, and those times were truly joyful and special. Through them, I realized God is alive, and eventually accepted Jesus as my Savior.
My Buddhist friends often criticized me religiously for believing in Jesus. Some even mocked my faith, saying, “The God you believe in is an evil god.” Each time, my heart ached terribly and it was so hard, but I strove to stand firm and not lose my faith. Every time, I prayed more earnestly, and with the strength and comfort God gave me, I overcame all these difficulties!
I received ministry training at church and now go out evangelizing once a week with people from the Myanmar church. Every day in prayer, I plead for the Holy Spirit to guide us so we can share Jesus' love through us. Lately, I've been pondering how I can show God's love to the people I meet. No matter how hard I try to convey Jesus' love, it often doesn't come across sincerely because they don't know God.
It pains me to think I may never see again those I meet while evangelizing on the streets. Yet I have chosen to entrust this burden to God. For I have come to realize that without God's will and power, I can do nothing. Please pray that as my church and I plant and water the seeds of the gospel in Myanmar, we may believe God will cause them to grow—and become those who strive to spread the gospel beyond Myanmar to all nations!
Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him—his name is the Lord. (Psalm 68:4)
God, our only Savior, we thank You for allowing Sister Rosemary to hear the gospel from childhood, receive Jesus as her Savior, preserve her faith, and be trained as Your disciple.
We believe it is Your amazing will that You enabled Sister Rosemary to realize God's living presence.
God the Father, our strength, we pray You will empower Sister Rosemary to follow the path of the Lord, who drank the cup of suffering for us, no matter what trials and persecution she faces.
We believe God met Sister Rosemary and revealed His love to her as part of the Lord's calling to save children who still wander in darkness, not knowing Him.
Have mercy on the souls of Myanmar, most of whom follow Buddhism and are deceived by falsehood, not knowing the God of truth. Open the eyes and ears of Myanmar's souls, shatter the false idols, and enable them to receive the Lord, just as Sister Rosemary did.
Sister Rosemary and the Myanmar Church, as you rely solely on God to sow and water the seeds of the gospel, may each seed grow into fruit thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold!
May the Myanmar Church build God's highway with songs of joy and praise to the Lord!
Myanmar, break through every hurdle with unshakable faith! Arise, 500,000 Myanmar soldiers!
