[Field Story] Egypt, a nation that follows only the Lord, the living hope

ree

Hello. I am Nada, who lives in Egypt.

I am a Syrian and came to Egypt two years ago. While I lived in Syria without any lack, it was not easy to establish myself financially while settling down in Egypt.

One day, I heard that my older brother had been in a hit-and-run accident, so I rushed to the hospital in a panic. The doctor said that my brother’s limbs were paralyzed and he could no longer move his body. When I thought about my brother’s future, my family and I cried so hard.

While I was feeling so discouraged, my brother miraculously started walking one step at a time in six months! It turned out that the doctor at the Christian hospital that operated on my brother was a Christian. From then on, I began to wonder who Jesus was.

One day, I became friends with a Korean I met on the street and an Egyptian she was hanging out with. Although it was our first time meeting, they were so kind that they listened to my story.

My friends told me, “Jesus died for us and was resurrected.” I said, “In Islam, we are taught that Jesus neither died nor was resurrected.” Then my friend showed me the Bible and said, “1 Peter 1:3 says that Jesus, who is full of mercy, rose from the dead and became our living hope.”

After that, as we talked a lot, I realized that Jesus died for me and my brother and was resurrected and became our living hope! I followed my friends and prayed to accept Jesus as my Lord, and after that, my heart was filled with immeasurable joy and freedom! Hallelujah!

Even now, my daily life is busy, so there are times when I feel physically tired, but whenever I read the Bible, joy wells up again!

Please pray that as I boldly preach the gospel, the door of evangelism will be wide open for Syrian families and many Sudanese, Syrian, and Yemeni refugees living in Egypt to meet the truth of Jesus through my testimony!

“Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope.” (Psalm 119:49)

Thank you, God, the mountain of hope in Egypt.

We praise the Lord for visiting and meeting Sister Nada and her brother, who were living as refugees from Syria to Egypt and living a weary and painful life.

Please let Sister Nada always remember the word of God as in the Psalms and remember the joyful things that became the living hope for her and her brother, so that she will not lose her heart that confessed to preach the gospel even when she was tired and struggling.

Please let countless Syrian families and refugees from Sudan, Syria, and Yemen living in Egypt meet the true God through Sister Nada, who says that joy rises whenever she reads the word!

Please let not only Sister Nada but also her family become a strong church that the power of death cannot overcome through the gospel, so that the Egyptian church can rise up as a missionary church through her family!

Through this, we hope that many young people in the Egyptian church will know the love of Jesus Christ, the true savior, and live with the grace of vision.

Also, beginning with this work, please bring about a new revival so that Egypt and Syria can rise again as a blessed nation in the world and become a nation that leads the way for the Lord to return!
