[Field Story] Dagestan, who will share the love of the Lord to all nations

Hello. I am Maga from Dagestan.

I grow a lot of interest in new things and have a strongly curious personality. So if there was anything I was curious about, I would always look it up and find out.

Then one day, I was sitting in a park and resting, and I happened to meet some Christians. As we talked to each other, I heard about the Jesus that they believe in, and I became curious and attended their worship meeting together.

While worshipping and reading the Word there, I felt a sense of peace and something that filled my heart that I had never experienced before. After having this strange experience, I began to attend the worship meetings every week.

One day, while watching a Jesus movie, I felt so much sorrow while watching the scene where he was whipped, and I asked my friends why Jesus had to be beaten like that. However, my friends told me that it was because of our sins and asked us to pray together so that the Holy Spirit would give us understanding.

Afterwards, we prayed together, and at that time, prayers that I myseld did not recognize came out of my mouth, and I experienced something warm embrace my heart, and I realized at once that this was the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit helped me realize why Jesus had to be beaten and whipped. After coming to know this, whenever I thought of Jesus, I was deeply moved.

I want to know this Jesus more, and I want to love him more deeply than I do now. Please pray for me that whenever I go to worship services from now on, the Holy Spirit will lead me to know Jesus even more each time.

Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this: “Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he opens not his mouth." (Acts 8:32)

We praise the Lord that has allowed Brother Maga to believe in Jesus and that has given him the heart to know Him more.

Day by day, may Brother Maga more deeply understand and follow after the love of the Lord who loved us to the point of carrying all our sins, and overcame all the powers of death on the cross once and for all!

Just as the Lamb was silent, in front of the love of the Lord who was silent even before the suffering of the cross for us, may you allow Brother Maga to commit his life and follow only after Jesus.

Just like the brother's confession, help him to know You more and love the Lord more deeply, and live as a child of God who brings salvation to his neighbors, family, and countless souls in the land of Dagestan.
