Hello. I am Kizil, living in Azerbaijan.

I am a 66-year-old widow who has lived a lonely life like an orphan.

I was born to the Talysh people among the many ethnic groups in Azerbaijan. When I was young, women living in the countryside were not well educated, but my father sent me from the countryside to the capital city of Baku to study, thinking that women should also learn, and I majored in accounting at university.

Also, at that time, women had to wear the hijab, but with my father’s permission, I lived the life of a new woman who was not bound by the hijab.

After getting married, I moved to Ukraine with my husband who was in the transportation business, and worked as an accountant and made a lot of money. After my father passed away, I returned to Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan, to take care of my mother who was left alone.

Unlike my dream of a peaceful life after giving birth to three children in Azerbaijan, my first child died at the age of four, my second child at the age of one, and my third child at the age of three months, all of whom died from an unknown illness, and I also lost my husband.

The misfortune did not end there. Before the pain of losing my family could fully subside, I was betrayed by my younger sister.

After all my children died, my younger sister gave me custody of her daughter, telling me to raise her as an adopted daughter. I raised my adopted daughter with all my heart and love, as if she were my own daughter, and even arranged for her to be married, but both my adopted daughter and my younger sister betrayed me and left me.

I was discouraged by the loss of my family, so I lent money to the last person I trusted, and then I was scammed and lost all my money.

While working as a park and restroom supervisor to make a living, I often heard about the Bible from my coworkers.

I lived a diligent life to overcome the loneliness of losing everything, but one day, while struggling with the anxiety and uncertainty that came with my old age, I had a dream. That dream was a dream in which a great prophet appeared and foretold my future.

This was the opportunity for me to become interested in spiritual matters, and through the evangelism of my friends, I heard the gospel and came to church with a spiritual thirst and longing after learning who Jesus is.

My wounded heart, which had been unable to forgive my younger sister for her betrayal and hated her, began to change slowly after I accepted the gospel and gained faith.

As the problem gradually resolved, I gradually escaped the trauma of betrayal and began to live a positive life and the peace of heaven that those who live by faith enjoy.

I, who had lost my family and felt like a lonely orphan, gained another family. It was the family of faith.

Those who preached the gospel to me became my sons and daughters. The brothers and sisters of the church became my brothers and sisters, and I began to pray for them. And the Lord is my life's companion who is always with me.

Now, I start my mornings by praying in the name of Jesus, my Savior. I live my day with the strength and power that He gives me.

After I first received the gospel, I was afraid and kept it a secret from those around me, but now I feel that my faith has grown to the point where I invite church members to my house and share the gospel with guests. Now, I have become the person in charge of prayer for Sunday services, and I have started to pray on behalf of the church here and there, even though I am not good at it.

In addition, as I learned about the last days and God’s vision, I have come to adopt Georgia. Although it is still awkward to adopt a nation, I definitely want to go to Georgia.

Only the Lord knows what will happen there. One thing for sure is that I will be joyfully sharing the gospel with my team.

Now, in my old age, I am happy because I have secured the key to heaven by believing in Jesus. Please pray with me so that I can live the rest of my life for Jesus and the gospel and meet the Lord joyfully in heaven.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

Hallelujah! We praise the name of the Lord who changed the tears of Sister Kizil’s life into joy and helped her meet Jesus, the truth, and come to know life and vision!

If her previous life was full of suffering, please let her life in her old age become one of life that holds the key to heaven, living for Jesus and the gospel on this earth, and preparing the way for the Lord to come!

Lord, who has made the sister adopt the Georgian people in her heart, please pour out God’s heart toward this people on Sister Kizil so that she can live a life of spreading the gospel of joy that she has received to the Georgian people with renewed strength that does not grow tired!

Please pour out the power of the Holy Spirit even more on the sister who will live with the hope of heaven, not this earth anymore! May she rise up as a sister who spreads the light of the Lord’s love and life to the countless souls of Azerbaijan who suffered because they did not know the Lord, just like she did in the past in these last days!

Also, let countless children of light like Sister Kizil rise up in Azerbaijan and now let the Azerbaijani people rise up as a people who will spread the light of Your life among all nations!
