[Field News] Lightning strikes 3 dead during religious ceremony at Angkor Wat in Cambodia

A lightning strike has killed more than 10 people at Angkor Wat, a world-famous tourist attraction in Cambodia.

According to the Straits Times and Khmer Times on the 18th (local time), Cambodian authorities announced that 3 people were killed and 10 others were injured by lightning at Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia, at around 5 p.m. on the 16th.

The accident occurred during a traditional religious ceremony on top of the temple while it was raining. Most of the casualties were reported to be local Cambodians.

The initial investigation results indicated that the temple was not properly equipped with lightning protection devices as the cause of the accident.

Merciful Lord, please have mercy and pity on the bereaved families who lost their families in a momentary accident and are in deep despair. Please touch them with Your hand and give them comfort that is more than sorrow, and let Your light shine even brighter.

Father God, the reason why this is more heartbreaking than their deaths is because the God the Cambodians have been searching for is a vain god who cannot lead them to true salvation.

Please have pity on the Cambodians who suffered a great accident while worshipping idols because they did not know the truth, and grant the Cambodians whom You love the faith to come to Jesus, the true truth.
