[Field News] “Iran Orders Thousands of Tons of Ballistic Missile Materials from China”… Focused on Strengthening Military Power?

Foreign media reports that Iran, currently engaged in nuclear negotiations with the United States, has ordered thousands of tons of raw materials for its ballistic missile program from China.

On the 5th (local time), The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported, citing multiple anonymous sources, that “Iran, aiming to rebuild its military power, has ordered thousands of tons of ballistic missile materials from China.” The report further stated that “Ammonium perchlorate, a key ingredient in solid fuel used for ballistic missiles, is expected to arrive in Iran within the next few months,” and “the amount ordered is enough to fuel about 800 ballistic missiles.”

According to WSJ, an Iranian company placed the order for ammonium perchlorate over the past few months with a Hong Kong-based firm. The contract appears to have been signed before U.S. President Donald Trump publicly announced in early March his offer to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to resume nuclear talks. The report also noted that part of the shipment is likely to be delivered to pro-Iranian militias in the Middle East, such as the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Iran is currently focused on strengthening its military capabilities, which have been weakened due to large-scale Israeli airstrikes. Last October, Israel bombed Iranian territory, destroying many “planetary mixers”—machines used to blend solid fuel components for ballistic missiles. Since then, Iran had difficulties in missile production but has recently begun repairing these mixers.

Though Iran strives to gain dominance in the Middle East, may the Iranian souls come to realize that no weapon over the past decades has truly empowered them.

We pray that Iran’s troubling actions—boasting military might through missiles and destabilizing global affairs—will come to an end. May the lies of Islam that deceive people into thinking that war will bring freedom to Iran be exposed before the truth. Grant them grace to follow the one true God!

May the Iranian Church lead the troubled souls of Iran to the gospel, and may it labor faithfully to reap the seeds of revival that were sown upon the history of martyrdom.
