On the 12th (local time), an explosion occurred at a gas station in the Chechen Republic of Russia, killing four people, TASS reported.

Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry said in a statement that a fuel tank exploded at a gas station in the Chechen city of Grozny, killing four people, including two children. It also said the fire had been put out.

The Chechen Republic's Ministry of Health said that in addition to the dead, five other people were injured.

The accident occurred the day before at a gas station on the outskirts of Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan.

The gas station building was destroyed, and the fire spread to nearly 50 square meters.

120 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the fire, and power supply was partially cut off in the area.
