[2026 Ramadan] Day 24 Night of Power
In January of this year, Iranian citizens, angered by extreme economic hardship and oppression under theocratic dictatorial politics, rose up in anti-government protests. The result was a brutal and large-scale bloody suppression by the Iranian government. Subsequently, three rounds of nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran escalated military tensions.
The military conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran that began on February 28 continues to expand across the Middle East. During the airstrikes, Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei passed away, and Iranians who had hoped for the collapse of the Islamic regime gathered in squares to express their joy.
However, fears of foreign military intervention and the expansion of total war are erupting, leaving the interior of Iran in a state of extreme chaos. Additionally, Iran is countering the offensive from the U.S. and Israel, expanding its strike range beyond the Gulf region to the broader Middle East and Azerbaijan.
As tensions surrounding the world tighten and Iran's Islamic system shakes, at this very moment, 2.1 billion Muslims worldwide are observing the Ramadan fast for the forgiveness of their sins. They are approaching the "Night of Power," the single day during the 30 days of Ramadan when they believe their supplications will surely be answered.
The "Night of Power" is considered the night when Muhammad, the founder of Islam, first received the revelation of the Quran from Allah, signifying the 27th night of Ramadan. The Night of Power is regarded as the most important day of the year, even beyond the period of Ramadan itself.
Muslims believe that on the Night of Power, angels sent by Allah descend and stay until dawn to listen to prayers; they believe that by staying awake to pray, all the sins they have committed throughout their lives will be forgiven. Therefore, even Muslims who do not usually observe the Ramadan fast go to mosques on the Night of Power to pray, perform good deeds, and strive to purify their conduct. In this way, the Night of Power is the day when Muslim religious devotion is most powerfully revived.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
This year, the 2026 Night of Power will take place on the night of Monday, March 16. On this night, the enemy who opposes God will attempt to further bind 2.1 billion Muslims within the name of "Islam" and seize them with false authority. However, during this Ramadan, as the global church prays together for the 2.1 billion Muslims worldwide who are crying out in pain as nation rises against nation and who are anxiously waiting for the forgiveness of sins, we will surely see a history of victory where all nations confess that only Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life!
Brother Hassan, an Afghan refugee living in Pakistan, heard the gospel and accepted Jesus through young missionaries from the United States. Afterward, Hassan confessed, "I want to give my whole life for Jesus." And God, who received that confession, granted the grace of Hassan’s wife confessing Jesus Christ as her Savior during this Ramadan! Hassan’s wife confessed, "I am no longer a Muslim. I have left Islam! I also want to follow Jesus with all my heart!" Later, at a Pakistan mission conference held in early modern March, Brother Hassan realized God’s vision and resolved to go out to the nations not as a refugee, but as a missionary.
Also, on the first day this Ramadan began, a Uyghur Muslim brother met by a short-term travel team accepted Jesus as soon as he heard the gospel. In Türkiye, when field workers fasted and prayed for Muslims, there was a work of a Muslim sister accepting Jesus and confessing how joyful she was to become a Christian. An Iranian brother in Türkiye who suffered from depression accepted Jesus after hearing the gospel and confessed, "I feel that God is helping me and that He is alive!" and is now enduring the spiritual warfare that hinders him through faith.
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)
On the upcoming Night of Power, we believe that through the worship and prayers of the global church offered on behalf of all nations, all darkness covering the world will depart, and the light of knowing God’s glory will shine into the hearts of 2.1 billion Muslims worldwide! Father God, the Sovereign of history, lead the 2.1 billion Muslims to the joy of salvation and grant a day of victory where the pain of the nations is reversed into life!
[Today's Prayer]
Let us pray for the 2.1 billion Muslims worldwide, and especially the souls in Iran and the Middle East, who are still observing the Ramadan fast and seeking forgiveness for their sins. On the upcoming Night of Power, Satan will try to deceive those whose hearts have become poor due to continuous war, attempting to work with the powerful authority of Islam through lies. Grant eternal comfort from God and the hope of heaven to their mourning hearts. Let a holy multitude that abandons the false faith of Islam and follows Jesus Christ, the true Truth, rise up among all nations!
