[2026 Ramadan] Day 19 Gateway to Revival for All Nations! Rise Up, Tunisia, with the Gospel Revolution!

“The least one shall become a clan, and the smallest one a mighty nation; I am the LORD; in its time I will hasten it.” (Isaiah 60:22)

As of 2025, Tunisia has a population of about 12 million people and a land area about three-quarters the size of the Korean Peninsula. With a gospelization rate of less than 0.1%, it is the least evangelized country in Africa and is located at the northernmost point of the continent.

Arabic and French are used as official languages, and Tunisia was the very place where the Arab Spring—specifically the Jasmine Revolution—began in 2011. Yet God has an amazing and great purpose and plan for this small and seemingly weak nation of Tunisia.

Tunisia pursues a form of secular Islam, and many young people are only nominally Muslim. In reality, they wander while pursuing the “European dream” and worldly success. During Ramadan, people pray and fast even if they normally do not, but it is often only an outward religious act—an empty ritual in which they can find neither God nor true meaning.

During Ramadan, many young people reverse their day and night schedules. They are active and eat freely at night, while many sleep during the daytime fasting hours. In the capital and major cities, it is common to see cafés covering their windows and doors with newspapers while operating secretly. Inside, people sit in thick cigarette smoke, enjoying meals, coffee, and cigarettes away from the eyes of others.

At the same time, during Ramadan many people become more interested in religion and try to accumulate good deeds through acts of charity and generosity. However, when the gospel is shared during Ramadan, even young people who are normally not very religious often respond with a stronger Islamic stance and may even encourage others to convert to Islam.

“Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.” (Psalm 110:3)

In 2024, the team declared the Early Rain Evangelism Movement and consistently focused on sharing the gospel. Since the second half of 2025, though still small in number, people have begun to receive Jesus and experience salvation.

A teenage sister, N, received Jesus about three years ago through SM sisters. Since then, she has carried the burden for the salvation of her friends, praying for them one by one, seeking wisdom, and faithfully sharing the gospel.

At first, Sister E rejected the gospel. However, after having a dream about Jesus, she received Him and became a Christian. Another girl, Sister L, whom N met while going to buy ice cream, also received Jesus after hearing about God’s love from her.

A few months later, while sharing the gospel with Sister Nu, N asked, “Do you really think Islam is true?” This question was exactly the same question Nu had been struggling with alone for several years since her teenage years. After this, Nu also experienced the grace of receiving Jesus.

Soon afterward, Sister E’s faith became known in her family, and N’s faith became known at school, bringing severe persecution and hardship. Yet they endured and persevered through suffering with the faith that they could not deny Jesus, who gave His life for them on the cross.

Later, N, E, and Nu—who attend the same school—began arriving at school one hour early every morning to start U-BTJ worship together in an empty classroom. Hallelujah! The Lord is raising up the next generation who worship Him in this land.

“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven…” (Matthew 16:18–19)

Since the beginning of 2026, the house churches that had been gathering separately by families have begun to come together, proclaiming TCCI (Tunisia Christ Church International) and gathering in unity. They have also begun holding monthly united worship services.

On the first Sunday of Ramadan, even though only a small number attended the February TCCI united worship service, there was great joy and grace simply in being able to gather and worship together during Ramadan.

The Lord cherishes and delights in the TCCI church that is newly rising in this land, breaking through 1,400 years of darkness. We thank the Lord for allowing a youth group to arise that overcomes persecution and for letting us see the seeds of revival in the next generation.

We thank the Lord for establishing the TCCI church that is rising up to break the 1,400 years of darkness in this land. May it rise as a powerful church that the gates of hell cannot overcome and transform the destiny of this nation!

Today’s Prayer

1) During Ramadan, a small number of Christians are facing lonely battles of faith. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them and give them greater grace so that they may break through the darkness of Ramadan and rise up as disciples.

2) Thank You for establishing the TCCI church in this land in 2026! Though it may appear small now, may it rise as a powerful church that the gates of hell cannot overcome and that will change the destiny of this land.

3) Thank You for allowing a youth group to rise up among the next generation, overcoming persecution. May a holy generation of worshipers arise in this land—prepared like the dew of the morning—for the Lord Jesus.
