[2026 Ramadan] Day 12 – The Beginning of Global Revival: North Caucasus, Rising as Special Forces of the Gospel to Lead a Powerful Spiritual Awakening in Russia!

War, terrorism, and strong Islam. The danger and fear covering this land have caused the peoples of the North Caucasus to remain completely isolated from the gospel. Until Islam entered this region in the 7th century AD, the North Caucasus was a Christian region serving God. For the past 1,400 years, this land has worshiped other gods instead of the Lord. Over the last 30 years, repeated wars and ethnic conflicts have created deep social instability. As a result, the region has been neglected by the global Christian community, remaining as an unreached people group and seeking its identity in Islam.

Recently, due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, many young men from the North Caucasus have been conscripted. Many have gone missing or died in battle and have not returned home, causing their families to groan in renewed suffering.

The souls of the North Caucasus, burdened by the aftermath of war, death, and social instability, long for true truth to fill their emptiness. For thousands of years they have sought answers in Islam—praying five times a day toward Mecca and faithfully observing Ramadan—yet they remain in despair, their emptiness unfilled. Now is the time of salvation for these peoples, that their hearts, which cannot be satisfied by false truth, may be filled with the eternal gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” (Psalm 2:8)

Brother A, who has found true freedom and joy in the truth of Jesus Christ, was five years ago a Muslim who thirsted for truth. After meeting student missionaries from Korea and South America, he wondered how they could live with such constant joy while he himself was always anxious and worried. As he listened to them sing with joy, “The Lord is my light, my rock of salvation,” he found himself singing along without realizing it. At first, he did not accept Jesus. Yet he loved the worship and fellowship of the student missionaries and always wanted to be with them. Then in January 2026, Brother A received Jesus as his Savior. He now regularly attends worship services and wholeheartedly worships the Lord.

Sister B, a Muslim woman from an ordinary family with five children, lost her beloved husband to a radical Islamic group around 2002, as the Russia–Chechnya war was coming to an end. Living in pain filled with anger and a desire for revenge, one day her elementary school–aged son brought home a small book he had found while playing outside. It was a Bible left behind by withdrawing Russian soldiers. Sister B began reading it. When she did not understand and fell asleep while reading, Jesus appeared to her in dreams and explained the words to her. As she experienced God answering even her smallest prayers, she accepted Jesus. She has kept her faith until now and faithfully serves her family and those around her.

After two wars in 1994 and 1999, worship toward the Lord had been weak for many years in this land. But in January 2014, the first worship service after the wars was held. Since then, despite many hardships, worship has continued without interruption. Just a few days ago, there was a baptism leading a soul into “eternal life.”

Another church recently began a ministry inviting unbelievers to church. Through this effort, two souls have accepted the Lord and are now attending church. We believe this church will move to the front lines for the evangelization of its people and the fulfillment of world missions.

Hallelujah! We believe that the Lord’s faithful churches and believers will rise with Him to bring revival to this land. Just as the zeal of the Lord Almighty accomplished salvation for humanity, His zeal will bring revival to this people.

[Today’s Prayer]

1) May Russia, which will become the starting point of a global revival in the last days, be transformed.

In particular, may the strongholds of darkness, war, terrorism, and powerful Islam that hold the North Caucasus peoples captive be broken down, and may this land be governed by the Spirit of God.

2) Though they are few, may the local Christians and churches of the North Caucasus who guard their faith with their lives proclaim the eternal gospel boldly and without hindrance through the power of the Holy Spirit. May the power of this gospel become new hope for the souls of this people living in despair and emptiness.

3)May more Russian churches and churches around the world overcome, by the power of the Holy Spirit, the negative images of danger and fear toward this unreached people group, and rise as witnesses of Jesus Christ to serve this land.
