Hello. My name is Hanin. I’m a Kurdish young woman.
My mother passed away from an illness 3 years ago, and I live with my father and two younger sisters. I’ve been doing the housekeeping in place of my mother. So many times, I get very tired. But I am always grateful.
My family and I believe in Islam. I was born and raised as a Muslim. So, my sister and I try to keep our faith by never forgetting to pray five times a day.
I have a good friend, and she is a Christian. She always tells me about Jesus. But because I didn’t have habitual belief and pray like other Muslims, and since I love and believe Allah, the story of Jesus didn’t touch my heart.
However, I am grateful to have a friend who always tells me about this love from this Jesus. Also, listening to my friend’s story, I have a lot of questions. As I hear the gospel more and more, the hope of receiving answers for the questions is growing in my heart. Please pray for me, that I can learn more about Jesus and this God of love my friend talks about!
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
(John 3:16, NKJV)
God, You love Sister Hanin and all the people of Kurdistan!
We thank You that you remember Sister Hanin, who’s living through difficult times with a thankful heart. And we thank You that you have led her to meet Christian friends and hear the gospel.
You have sent Your one and only Son Jesus Christ because You love Sister Hanin and the Kurds. May Sister Hanin experience the power of Your love in all moments of her life!
Would You meet with many young Kurdish people like Sister Hanin and lead them to no longer walk the path of Islam or the road to destruction but to walk the way of life!
We confess that the blood of the martyrs that have been spilt on Kurdish land is bearing fruit. May all Kurdish churches rise up serving You, O God, who gave us Your Son, and may they bring life to the dying nations!
May Jesus Christ who will bring revival to the Kurds be exalted alone! Amen!
