Hi, my name is Sohrab. I moved to Turkey as a refugee from the Persian window. In Turkey, I believed in Jesus. After that, it was not easy to adjust myself to the culture here, going to school as a foreigner, a refugee, and a Christian.
Recently, however I came to know the Father’s heart and God’s vision through a mission training that was held at my church.
God is the most valuable treasure. I found that treasure. To take this treasure, I have to sell everything that I have and own, including my time, thoughts, and dreams. I realized I have to offer everything I consider precious to God.
I realized why God allowed me to become a refugee and move here. I committed to live my life only for Jesus and the gospel!
I committed myself to become a Young Adult Missionary; however, because of my refugee status, I cannot go to any other countries. Even so, I will instead travel within this country to where people need the gospel! I am no longer a refugee but a missionary! Amen!
But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
1 Peter 4:13
Hallelujah! Thank you Lord for calling Sohrab to Turkey and raising him up not as a refugee but as a missionary who will revive this land! Thank you that you let him dream your dreams as a person of the kingdom of God, not as a hopeless refugee.
Would you be with him as he obeys your Word and travels to preach the gospel! Let him certainly find the remnants which you have preserved!
Let him never rejoice in any other thing but following the way of the cross, the path you yourself walked.
Let Sohrab and all the young adult refugees like him live only for Jesus and the gospel! May all Persian Refugees in Turkey realize the grace of our Lord, who saves them and calls them to become missionaries! Let them prepare the way of our Lord’s return! Amen!
