For the past several months, many situations arose in Nation F. One of those situations was about a story of Brother M who is a freelance journalist. After Brother M encountered Jesus in a dream and accepted Him as Savior, he uploaded a vlog about an article that stated that Mohammed with his followers in the 7th century was fundamentally a powerful weapon to maintain the social and racial class system of the land. Through this, Brother M was sentenced to death in the court for “contempt of belief” and was held in jail for the past three years.
This truth brought all of the intercessors that have been praying for this land to start praying with even more fire and passion. Western human rights groups and governments continued to address the news and urged the government to withdraw the death penalty for this brother. Eventually, the Brother M was commuted to two years in court two weeks ago. Hallelujah!
However, the prosecution appealed against the ruling and continued to insist that the brotherhood of M should continue to be sentenced, and thousands of civilians from all over the country came to the streets and were excited and protested against such decisions.
Eventually in the end, Brother M was able to be released. But through this incident, the Criminal act of provision was strengthened, and from now on the government as newly established an amendment in which case we are sentenced to death without any further forgiveness.
Although it may seem that persecution for believers is growing harsher by the day, God is surely doing a new work through witnesses of faith like Brother M!
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.” (Habakkuk 3:17-18)
We praise our God who has given the good news of the gospel to Nation F! We thank him who met Brother M in his dream, and has considered him a witness of faith.
As persecution of believers of faith increases, would he allow the prayer for this nation to increase even more, and may the faith of the remnants in this land stand firm.
Just like the prophets of Habakkuk rejoiced in the Lord even though there was no fruit in the fig tree and no calf in their stall, may Nation F only rejoice in the God of salvation!
