[Today's Prayer] Yemen's Houthis "Strike Aramco Oil Facilities in Jizan and Yanbu… Retaliation for Saudi Airstrikes"

The Houthi rebels in Yemen, who are engaged in conflict with Saudi Arabia, announced on the 25th (local time) that they carried out attacks on facilities belonging to Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil company Aramco in Jizan and Yanbu.

According to the Houthi-operated media outlet "Ansar Allah," Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated in a video statement that "in response to clear criminal aggression, the Yemeni forces carried out two special military operations."

Spokesperson Saree continued by saying that they struck "key targets at facilities owned by Aramco" in Jizan and Yanbu using ballistic missiles and drones.

Saree stated, "By the grace of God, both operations successfully achieved their objectives, and the strikes were carried out accurately and directly."

He further emphasized, "Depending on how the situation develops over the coming hours and days, we will not hesitate to expand the scope of our actions and raise the level of our response. A blockade will be met with a blockade, and escalation will be met with escalation."

The previous day (the 24th), the Saudi-led coalition carried out airstrikes on Houthi bases in Yemen's western port city of Hodeidah and Kamaran Island. In retaliation, the Houthis launched missile attacks the following day on Jizan, Yanbu, and Damad in southwestern Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, Ansar Allah reported that the Houthis had struck Aramco-affiliated oil refinery facilities in the Jizan Industrial Complex with missiles.

However, civil defense alerts were issued in both areas during the attacks, and videos showing large fires were repeatedly shared on social media.

According to NASA's Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS/VIIRS), multiple fire hotspots were detected in the Jizan Industrial Complex that day.

This marks the first time in four years, since the 2022 ceasefire, that the Houthi rebels have carried out an attack on Saudi oil facilities.

The Jizan refinery has the capacity to process approximately 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Under normal circumstances, it can handle about 4% of Aramco's total oil and liquids production capacity.

As Saudi Arabia and Yemen, who have made Allah rather than the Lord and Jesus Christ their god, continue to increase their levels of response and move toward greater extremism rather than ending the war, may they hear the true gospel, recognize their foolishness, and repent.

For this purpose, may the local churches in Saudi Arabia and Yemen proclaim the gospel and testify to Jesus Christ, who is more precious than the cedars of Lebanon. May they declare that true peace and shalom are found when the Lord Himself rules as the King of Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

May the global church also send the servants of the Lord to Saudi Arabia and Yemen, where much has been lost through airstrikes and fires, and may they testify to the grace of Jesus Christ, who became the true King of Saudi Arabia and Yemen by wearing the crown of thorns and shedding His blood on the cross.

Therefore, may Yemen and Saudi Arabia become nations that offer reconciliation through the love of the cross, forgive one another, and prepare the oil of readiness to welcome the final return of the Lord. Amen.
